My hands shook over the sink as red soapy suds swirled down the drain; I could scrub for the rest of my life and never feel clean again. I tried to straighten my fingers as my knuckles slightly bled and puffed with bruising.
I'll use a Big Gulp to help ice them down.
The overhead light flickered as the AC kicked back to life. I stared up at the whirring wishing I were anywhere but here. Wishing to erase the last 48 house. Wishing my life were anywhere but at this exact moment in time.
The thinly guarded bathroom door shook with every smash of his fist.
"Lets go Bella, its show time."
I solemnly stared back at my reflection; my eyes expressed a death I could only hope would be quick.
And soon.
