Vivi watched, from under the large brim of his saggy hat, eyes glowing out from under the shadows. Quina was rushing around sniffing the area and the air for the many frogs that inhabited the area. Frogs seemed to be the strange creature's preference of food. Quina was always so simplistic in his/her needs and joys. It amazed Vivi, even if this attitude seemed to annoy the others.

Vivi was always thinking. Think, think, think. He couldn't not think. At times it even made him worry that maybe he wasn't enjoying life like he could if he didn't think so much.

Maybe that was why Quina fascinated the little Black Mage so much.

Quina stopped, straightening up and turning to gaze at Vivi through his/her weird eyes, his/her tongue ever-lastingly hanging down the front of her shirt from it being so abnormally long, just like the other Qus. "What wrong? Something on face?" s/he challenged, squinting his/her eyes at Vivi.

Vivi quickly shook his head, "N-No! I was just... interested."

"Oh? What so interesting? You want yummy frog, too?"

"No!" he hurriedly said, with another quick shake of his head. The almost enraged look on Quina's face told him that s/he had no intent on sharing any of the frogs captured, even if Vivi wanted one. "You just always seem so happy..."

"So? What so interesting about being happy?"

Vivi shifted his hat upon his head as he mused over his reply. "Well... I'm always thinking. And I always get worried... What if this happens? Or what if that happens?"

"No worry!" Quina insisted, hopping up, his/her arms flopping wildly as s/he did so. "Just eat!"

"Eat?"

"Eat is to live!" Quina assures, a quick nod of his/her head to accompany the answer. "Can't live without eating! Eating is life!"

Vivi blinked slowly, though his brain made a connection, a revelation. Quina was always so childish, not worrying about anything. Maybe that's what Vivi needed to do to be more happy? Quina focused on what needed to be done, what s/he needed and wanted to do and not about the 'what if's. If something went wrong the Qu creature would deal with it accordingly as it happened. It was almost childish in nature...

"I think I understand." Vivi smiled beneath the shadows, though Quina couldn't see it. Quina nodded before turning and happily returning to capturing more frogs for his/her snack.
