Kim looked down at the little stick in her hand. She couldn't be pregnant again. She just gave Jimmy back his ring two days ago. Now what was she supposed to do? She knew she had to tell Jimmy. She just wasn't looking forward to doing so. She didn't think Jimmy would be mad or have her raise the child on her own. She just didn't know what this meant for them. Her and Jimmy haven't even spoken to each other since she gave the ring back. She hurt him. It was written all over his face. She could hear it in his voice. She felt so bad for doing that to him. She just felt unsure and a little scared because things were going so well. All she knew was that she needed Jimmy right now.
Kim threw the stick in the trash can and composed herself. She needed to get to work. She was close to being late. The thought of having to deal with Grace today was driving her crazy and she wasn't even at work yet. She was just tired of that girl's attitude and how all of the emergencies here weren't good enough for her.
"Hey Kim," Carlos said cheerfully. She smiled back. She never thought her and Carlos would actually become friends. He wasn't as bad as he used to be. She was almost as close to him now as she was to Bobby. Kim walked upstairs and started getting changed for her shift. She closed her locker and saw Carlos standing next to it.
"I didn't see anything or try to. I just wanted to know what's wrong," Carlos said. He saw the look on Kim's face. He knew that whatever it was it was stressing her out and Kim was not the nicest person when she was stressed.
"I have a lot going on right now. I have to figure out a way to tell Jimmy that I'm pregnant again. I don't even know how he's going to take. I just told him that we weren't going to work out and gave him back his ring two days ago. I hurt him," Kim replied. She sat down on the bench and sighed. She still hadn't called Jimmy. She knew they needed to talk as soon as possible.
"How long have you known about this?" Carlos asked. He couldn't believe she was pregnant again. He knew Jimmy wouldn't abandon her. Jimmy really has changed a lot over the years. You could by looking at the way her and Jimmy acted around each other that they were still in love. It wasn't any secret.
"Since an hour ago this morning when I took the test. I can't believe this is happening to me. I don't even know how I'm going to tell Jimmy," Kim said softly. She put her head in her hands and then looked back up at Carlos. This wasn't the best time for her to be pregnant.
"Just tell him the same way you told him about Joey. Jimmy has changed a lot. He's not immature like he used to be and he loves you. Trust me he'll be happy about this," Carlos replied. He couldn't believe he and Kim had become this good of friends. They used to hate each other. Now they talked all the time.
"I know you're right. I'm still nervous though. I haven't even talked to Jimmy since I gave him back the ring," Kim responded. She got up off of the bench. She knew her and Grace would be getting a call soon. She just couldn't wait to spend the whole day with Grace. Pretty much she just wanted to get this shift over with so she could talk to Jimmy. She hoped everything would go okay when she told him. She really did love Jimmy.
