Disclaimer: I do not own Maximum Ride or any of the characters.
Claimer: I do own the characters I make up in this crossover (Merleawe, Ian, Kat, Shane, Hallie, and Jake.).
A/N: Okay, meet the flock (that I made up)
Merleawe: A 14 year old girl with longish brown hair and blue eyes. She has tan wings. Leader of the flock.
Ian: A 14 year old boy with blond hair and silvery blue eyes. He has white and black wings. Second in command.
Kat: A 12 year old girl with bright red hair and stunning green eyes. She has light blue wings. Since she is one of the oldest of the flock, she is 3rd in command. She is Jake's little brother.
Shane: A 7 year old boy with black hair and yellow-green eyes. He has black wings.
Hallie: A 6 year old girl with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has canary yellow wings.
Jake: A 4 year old boy with golden hair and brown eyes. He has bluish green wings. Since he is the littlest of the group, he is looked after the most. He is Kat's little brother. He can camouflage himself if he wants to.
Merleawe's POV:
Ugh. Another day on the run. Yesterday was hard. Kat kept asking me when we would find a home, and I wasn't sure. Life was hard.
Now we were headed to Tennessee, the Volunteer State. It's where we were supposed to find a new home. I tried to tell the flock that the North would be better, but nooo. We just had to live in Tennessee, land of hunting and guns.
"Hey, Merleawe? How far away is Tennessee?" Jake asked, his small wings beating rhythmically with mine. He was so little, he didn't need to go through this. Actually, none of us should.
"About thirty minutes." I said. "But before we get there we need some snacks. Ian? Ideas please," I watched Ian come flapping towards me. He pointed towards a caved in part of a mountain. I nodded, slightly tipping my feathers in the direction of the cave.
When I practically crash-landed in the cave I pulled out my backpack and got some beef jerky and some peanuts. I threw our food towards where everyone was sitting. They practically choked on their food, considering how hungry they were.
"Shane? Come here for a sec," I said. He scooted towards me and looked at me with a puzzled expression. "Shane, Hallie told me everything," I said, looking at him. "I know you sneaked some food out of my backpack. Never do it again, okay? We're all hungry."
"Shoot. Hallie! You swore you wouldn't tell!" he said. I smiled on the inside. I saw Kat give Hallie a high five. I was still mad at Shane though.
"Okay, guys. About twenty-five minutes away from the border of Tennessee and Kentucky. We're not going to find a home today, so we'll probably sleep in a forest again. But first thing tomorrow we'll look around for vacant vacation houses in Gatlinburg. Okay?" I asked the flock. They looked kind of depressed when I said, "Sleep in forest again." I don't blame them. I got various, "Okays," from the flock members, but I still rounded them up eventually.
"To Tennessee!" I yelled while flying. "To Tennessee!" they all yelled in unison.
A/N: I know it's short, but I like it! The next chapter will be of Max and the gang. Reviews are welcomed with big smiles. And if you haven't figured it out, yes, I did put myself in Merleawe's flock.
