Stupidity
He thought it was stupid. It was a stupid thing, and it was even stupider for him to do.
So why did he do it?
Hanazawa Rui had no idea, really.
It just happened. One day, he was Shizuka's cold-hearted Rui, who didn't really care about anything else. He was the kid who sat by the emergency staircase and played the violin and asked what the time difference between Japan and France was. He was nothing more than a kid in the F4, although that was a lot as it is.
And then, everything had to change.
He became, stupidly, in love with Makino Tsukushi.
Oh don't get him wrong, Rui likes Makino just fine. In fact, he absolutely loves her. But he still thinks it was stupid of him to fall in love with her. I mean, who wants to be love rivals with your best friend? Oh and half the "important" men of Japan.
I mean there was that model, that "nouveau riche" guy, the son of the politician, the Tsukasa look alike, and just oh god. Too many men had fallen in love with her as it was. Why did he have to do something so stupid as to fall in love with her too.
Hanazawa Rui is the guy who sits at the emergency stairs and plays violin. He is the guy who comforts Makino Tsukushi in her times of need, and the one to drag Tsukasa to his senses. Rui is the best friend. He is the one she can come to for help. He is his musician, and nothing more, right?
So why did he have to fall in love with her?
She is the commoner girl. The only one in the whole school. She is the girl who's constantly getting into trouble, and using her "weed power" to spring out of it. She doesn't understand the upper class, and has absolutely now idea why the F4 prefers all these unnecessary, frivolous things.
And yet, she's the only one who makes him laugh. People can make him smile, but she's the one who makes him laugh. She's the one who was there for him, when Shizuka left. Makino Tsukushi was the one who picked the entire F4 out of their stupid, childish lifestyle, and brought them over to a more mature side.
She was the one he had stupidly fallen in love with.
And, as Rui looks back on all his thoughts, he realizes, that's its okay. It's okay to fall in love with Makino Tsukushi. It's okay to love.
Because, Hanazawa Rui thinks, you love with your heart and not with your head.

Oh gods. Another drabble. And again, there is little or no dialogue at all.
