Summary: Piper always wished for a normal life.

Rated: T

Everyday she watched on in horror at the life she'd been leading for these past few years. Battles. Bloodshed. Death. Pain. Anguish. They all happened to her and her fellow sisters repeatedly. Demons stalked their every step for the chance to snatch a power that she never asked for. The possibility of their lives ending, hanging just above their heads every waking moment. Even now, she could feel the pressure of death knocking at her door. Poe's supposed Raven squaking that the final sleep would take them, one by one or all together, until there was nothing left to remember of them.

Piper swallowed down the hard lump in her throat as she turned to view her children playing on the floor. It wasn't fair.

Always watching if the shadows were to dark or if the sky was too bright, the day would literally becoming a terrifying night.

They couldn't live. Not like this.

A feeling of strong arms wrapped around her waist and she took a deep breath, closing her eyes, and let it out in a sigh. "What are you thinking about?" Her husband asked, as he also, watched their children play peacefully, oblivious to the turmoil of life they were cursed with.

Piper gave a sarcastic laugh. "Life. The end of it. How unfair it is to be living like this while others walk around carefree, living life."

Brushing back her chocolate brown hair from her neck, Leo kissed just below her chin and up to her cheek before burying his face into the warm skin. "Yes, but they don't have the ability to fight evil and protect those innocent from it like you and your sisters do."

She felt a tick of anger at that. "But why us? Why can't we live normally instead?"

He rubbed at her hips and she gave a soft moan of defeat with her husband's method of calming her. The cheat. "And if the glass is half empty, why cry over it? You still have a lot more left in that glass then you realize. I mean look at us Piper, were married, with children. Just like you always dreamed of. There was a point in our relationship where we thought we'd have to give that up but instead, we were given a gift."

She smiled at his words and tilted her head to the side, allowing her husband to nuzzle her neck some more while she watched Chris giggle at Wyatt making funny faces. No, she had more then one miracle.

Leo.

Wyatt.

Chris.

Her sisters.

Alright, so maybe life wasn't all so bad. But hopefully, maybe in the near future, it would be a peaceful one.

"Heeeyy!" The sound of Phoebe calling as she and Paige came through the front door caused the couple to jolt before laughing at the normalcy of the action. Yeah...maybe some peace and quiet too...just not too much.
