The Legend of Shabranigdo
You: According to the legend, a long long time ago this world we live on had a great staff thrust into it, there was the world sitting on top of it smooth and round like like how can I explain it, take this (insert smooth round item) on the end of my (insert something like fork or pencil) try to think of it like that. Around the edge of the world two groups waged an ancient battle, one was the race of demons the other the race of gods, leading them was Shabranigdo the dark lord and Cepheid the dragon god the war waged for hundreds for thousands of years, finally Cepheid was able to break Shabranigdo into seven parts and then he sealed them somewhere on our world.
Other Person: So this Cepheid beat him huh?
You: No he only imprisoned him.
Other Person: But (insert your name here) you said he was split into seven pieces.
You: He was. But Shabranigdo was such a powerful demon that didn't stop him, and even though Cepheid imprisoned Shabranigdo it took all of his strength to do it.
Other Person: Keep going.
You: Then a thousand years ago, one of the seven pieces of Shabranigdo was reborn, although one piece remained Cepheid defeated him with the help of the Water Dragon King, and Shabranigdo's body was sealed in the earth.
Other Person: A meaningless battle.
You: The powers of Cepheid and Shabranigdo are still in constant battle and because the balance of peace in this world was broken by them all kinds of monsters were loosed and then began appearing to rule the earth. So do you understand it now?
