"Hey Emma," Craig called as Angie, Emma, and Manny drew on the sidewalk with chalk.

"Hi Craig," Emma blushed as he sat down in between herself and Manny. "You're early."

"Is that a bad thing? I just kind of needed to get out of the house for awhile." Craig answered. "My Dad was being kind of being annoying."

"Hmmm, you might want to talk about Manny about annoying dads," Emma pointed to her best friend who was drawing a princess and her knight with Angie. "He can be kind of a tyrant some times, too."

Craig glanced over his shoulder, not realizing he was starting to stare at her. He chuckled under his breath, noticing her braids. Yes, she was a bit young, but he liked her outgoing style in hairdos. Manny noticed him staring and giggled, wondering what he must have been thinking about her. She felt her stomach fill up with butterflies. She couldn't help but like this new guy. He was cute and nice. Yes, that was kind of shallow but hey, she was only thirteen.

"He's not that bad just as long as I grow up to be a scientist and never ever ever go on a single date with a boy," Manny smiled at him, knowing that she was now apart of the conversation.

"Are you good at science," Craig asked.

"I always get an A+ in that class, so you could say that. I like science well enough to be a scientist, but I don't think my heart could ever truly desire it as much as my father would like to believe." Manny explained.

"But, she looks killer in a lab coat," Emma added. "Very smart, even. Sadly, she didn't sign up for the science fair this year and has agreed to be one of my test subjects, instead."

Craig nodded his head, "Interesting."

Manny smiled widely, "Are you getting bored? I'm sure talking about science isn't all that interesting to you."

"You're right, it's not fun at all, but it's nice getting to know you a little more, Manny." Craig replied.

Manny thought that her heart would burst at that, but she remained calm and said, "How very nice of you, Craig."

"Okay, I have a question for you, Manny," Angela butted in, getting tired of these more complicated topics.

"Alright, Ang. Ask away." Manny replied.

"What's your most favoritest thing in the world?" the little girl asked, not realizing 'favoritest' wasn't even word, let alone 'most favorirtest' was an adjective confusion. Her ignorance was so adorable.

"Mmmm…, my most favorite thing in the world would have to be hanging out with my best friends." Manny answered, smiling at Emma and Craig.

"How about you, Craig?" Angie questioned her older half brother.

"I don't know, Angie. That's a tough one…" he trailed off wanting to answer: Manny's smile.
