This is just a little ficlet that came to mind well I was playing the song Angel of Darkness. So here goes nothing.
Disclaimer: I don't own Tales, or any Tales related thing in this fic.

Mithos felt his heart break as he watched Martel's eyes glaze over. Her long green hair fell around her turning red in her blood that splattered everything around her. In the background he could hear Yuan and Kratos shouting at the fool whom had dared kill his sister. Then he heard another voice amongst them. It was high-pitched with horror and sadness: it was his own.
"You monster!" he shouted, "How could you." The tears fell freely down his cheeks. He felt himself rise and run over to where the…the thing that had the heartlessness to kill his sister was standing. But Kratos got there first, he ran his sword through the smug face, slicing it clean off.
His sister, who had never hurt anyone, now lay dead before him. He dropped to his knees by her side. Her last words rang in his head, "I only wish I could have seen a world without discrimination." If only he could have her back. He would do anything! Anything to have his sister back!
You know what you must do than. A voice echoed in his head, Mithos looked up as though someone had spoken it out loud. Stop this mad system once and for all. Destroy all those whom get in your way. Dispel their foolishness upon themselves let them stew in their sick minds let them beg for your mercy. You have the availabilities; the eternal sword is yours. Destroy them.
Mithos looked into the cold eyes of Yggdrasill. The tall blond angel was looking down at him with what could only be assumed was a sympathetic look. But somehow he still managed to look cold and careless. He held out his hand to Mithos.
I will show you the way to destroying all these humans whom appose you. They will beg for mercy when we finish with them. Do you want my help? Then take my hand and feel the power of the angels…
"How do I know that I can trust you?" Mithos whispered to the shadow of what he would be one day. "How do I know that you won't betray me?"
You don't trust yourself? Asked his hallucination. How pathetic! If you can't trust me who can you trust? Mithos looked shaken. Himself?
His friends had not yet noticed through their own grief that their young friend was beginning to loose his mind to madness, that they were about to become pawns in his mad plan. That they were about to loose themselves in time and grief.
Come I will show you the way to Martel's last wish. A world without discrimination. Where half-elves can live in peace.
"We can live in peace?" Mithos asked.
Yes. I will show you the way. Take my hand and I will help you to achieve your goal. An age of lifeless beings…
"No discrimination. I will do it!" He reached out as if to grab the hallucination's hand. But his hand fell through thin air. There was nothing there.
"We should move. The peace treaty didn't work we have to find another way to save the Tree," stated Kratos tears still falling from his eyes. He looked around at his two remaining companions, "Mithos what are you doing."
Mithos eyes were glazed as he stared into space plans forming in his head all the time.
"Let them destroy themselves!" he shouted. "Martel wanted a world without discrimination so that is what we will give her! I'm going to end this!"

Wow. That was kind of depressing. Sad too. I didn't initially have this during Martel's death but that is how it worked out. Well R&R thanks! Until next time.
