Reflections
Why do I do things I know are wrong
Justify my actions and go along
Why do I do things I know cause pain
I've done it before, I'll do it again
Mistakes made and lessons learned
Play with fire and you will get burned
Repetition of times long past
Hold my hand, I'm sinking fast
Taking action, accepting the cost
Failing faith, all hope is lost
Blinded by my worldly desire
Body and soul consumed with fire
Reaching for Heaven, missing the call
I plunge into an eternal fall
I can hear you crying my name
I can't go back, I'm not the same
Pieces missing, part of my soul
Never again will I be whole
Struggling between wrong and right
Preparing for a losing fight
Lacking truth, abounding lies
Tears flowing from my eyes
A tattered heart lies within
Hidden with a guilty grin
