A/N: Just something short that I thought of in processing my thoughts from after the truck scene at the end of 602.

Sam hoped that his kisses reassured her. It was the best way for him to show he loved her and she knew he did.

"Where to next, McNally?"

"Home."

Reversing the truck out of 15′s parking lot, Sam knew Andy was upset, hell, HE was upset. He had no idea how this situation was going to work, but he knew he had the controls. At least, for right now. That's all he knew, how to keep in control. He also knew that Andy was by his side.

That reassured him.

He never thought they'd get to the place where neither of them were going to walk out the door. He made that promise way back when, but failed in keeping it. He knew it was hard for her too as he remembered how she was with Luke and from when him and Andy first gave in to their feelings.

"Sam," Andy was waiting for him to open the door to his place, "can we just grab some leftovers and lie down, now?"

"Of course."

Making their way upstairs with last night's pesto pasta salad, Andy changed into sweat pants and a tank, while Sam used the bathroom before coming out and taking his shirt and jeans off, then climbed into bed beside Andy.

"How could a father lock his daughter in a freezer in a garage? And the mother didn't realize this was going on in her own home? Who does that?"

"I don't know, Andy."

"Sam, no matter how our family shapes out, promise me… that we'll learn to deal with things by keeping each other in the loop. I don't want to be clueless about things when it comes to this child, or any of our own children."

Sam drew a breath in when Andy talked about their future, and specifically, their future when it included children. Of course he was worried the whole time of how Andy was going to take this news. If she was going to run away forever or stay by his side. He felt like things were different this time through…ever since he woke up from getting shot he knew what he wanted and felt more sure about what Andy wanted. He couldn't figure out how all this was going to work, but one thing he knew for sure was that Andy was the main thing in his life no matter what and he couldn't imagine his life without her in it.

"I can promise you that. It's you and me, McNally." He put his plate on his night stand, and reached out for her hand, giving it a squeeze.

Andy smiled and put her empty plate on the night stand turning off the light before she laid down, "Can you….can you just hold me?"

Sam could hear the tears in her voice as he wrapped his arms around her mid-section and pulled her against his chest. She sighed against him and Sam could feel her body settling down.

This situation they were in sucked. He wishes he could take back how he pushed her away after Jerry died and proceeded to fuck up things until he got shot. He felt so stuck during that point in time. He always felt like space was the best thing for them both. And now, he wants to control everything, but doesn't know what to say to make it all. It's hard for him to articulate the mess of feelings in his head, but he's more sure now that Andy has more patience for when he does come around.

"Let's sleep, okay? Wash away today."

"Thanks. What I said earlier…Sam…I meant every single word. I'm not leaving and I love you."

"Good because I don't want to have to find you. Love you too, Andy." He leaned in and kissed her cheek and listened to the rhythm of her breathing as he closed his eyes too.
