|Rubber Ducks
It had been a thing, whenever Yuma took a bath rather than a shower. It was okay for Astral to be there. It took Yuma some time getting using to. It became an everyday life thing and neither minded. Yuma would sit in the warm, steamy water for a while. Longer than his morning showers, most definitely.
Yuma even found himself trying to play with his spirit partner on the tricks he could do with water, despite that Astral feel nothing when he went in the tub.
"Ahh." Yuma sighed, satisfied with the water temperature and sunk his body lower, the water reached no further than his eyes ▬ which were closed. He made several bubbles, a trick he had shown Astral before. Speaking of the alien, he was preoccupied by the toy floating on the surface.
The bubbling under the water became more rapid and louder, the strange sound of little pops popped. Yuma lifted his head and laughed slightly from his playful antics. He frowned when he didn't see Astral paying attention to him, but rather, on the rubber duck.
The surface of the water waved, moving the duck into a direction. His mismatched eyes watched the duck go and bump into the wall of the bath tub. The movements slowed as the water was much calmer than moments ago.
The spirit saw a water splash come his way and was alarmed, turning his head towards Yuma. He looked back momentarily to see that the rubber duck had toppled over, its' underbelly showing.
"Yuma...! It-It's drowning!" Yuma gave him a strange look and laughed.
"Rubber ducks are inanimate objects, Astral. They can't drown!" Astral still looked panicked, he even tried to reach out for it for a split second. Yuma frowned and reached out for the toy he's so fascinated by. He grabbed it and flipped it over.
He looked at Astral's content face, a small smile had formed with his lips, and his eyes began to close to relax. Yuma sunk his head back in the water, the fading warmth pooled around him and the duck. It was another day of quietness during bath time.
Not much I s'pose. Aside from some little fluff, that is.
