Chapter one

A steady breeze blew through the long pinks locks of Sakura Haruno. Her green eyes shone with brightness, as she stood basking in the sunlight by the cherry blossom tree. A few of the petals of Sakura's name sake flower fell down, swiftly landing in her hair. She cupped her hands as another petal landed gently in her palms. Sakura let out a content sigh. 'Oh, spring is such a beautiful season!'

She leaned on the trunk of the cherry blossom tree, which stood on top of a green hill, and breathed in fresh air. She closed her eyes and welcomed the calming silence.

"Sakura."

Her eyes snapped open from hearing a familiar voice. Her eyes wandered over to its source, it landed on a person.

"Sasuke-kun." Indeed, it was no other than Sasuke Uchiha. The man that made hundreds-if not, thousands of girls swoon from his dark-good looks. His raven locks moved gently from the cool breeze, his expression blank-holding no emotion. One hand held his blade in a tight grip, while the other landed on his waist, his eyes narrowed.

"You were suppose to be training."

Sakura glared at the man. It was a glare that she picked up from Sasuke and his brother…and her glare rivaled Sasuke's own.

"I was simply taking a break, Sasuke-kun. You can't hold that against me." She replied smugly.

"Hn."

Sakura grinned at Sasuke response. "Well then, you best be on your way then so I can start my training again." She crossed her arms and leaned back on the truck of the tree.

Sasuke made no movement to leave, but continue to stare at the pink-haired beauty. "I did not come to check up on you. You are needed back at the Akatsuki's headquarters."

She frowned, she hated the name Akatsuki, It didn't settle well with her. The organization was filled with rouge ninjas that did all sort wrong, brutal things. Breaking countless laws, killing innocent people, stealing and a whole lot more gruesome deeds. These barbaric ways did not fit the young beauty. To make matters worse, many of her loved ones are part of the organization. It was the only reason why she was forced to be apart of it.

She sighed, pushing herself off the trunk of the tree. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she gave Sasuke a serious look.

"Is it a mission?"

Sasuke gave her a curt nod. "Naruto, Itachi and Sasori will be joining us on this mission."

Sakura raised a delicate eyebrow. "Why so many team mates? usually we travel as a two man-cell."

Sasuke let out an irritated sigh, clearly annoyed with his team mate's questions. He was never the one to say more than he needed.

"We're being assigned an 'S' ranked mission, a 4 man-cell is necessary for this mission. Now stop your yapping and let's go." After giving Sakura one of infamous Uchiha glares, he turned on his heels and stormed off.

Sakura frowned as she watched her childhood friend walked off. 'Who shoved a stick up his ass? Oh wait, he always had a stick up his ass. Never mind…' She sighed deeply as she pushed herself off the tree and followed Sasuke at a very slow pace. 'This is going to be a very long day…'

-Author's note- I'm sorry if my first chapter seems a little boring. :P Things will get heated pretty soon. I might make some changes to my first in the near future if needed. Thanks for reading and be sure to leave a review. (I'll give you a brownie if you do~)
