Ruby eyes followed the retreating figure of the young man in the leather outfit; Xiao Lon recognized this man from the opening ceremonies of the King of Fighters Maximum Impact tournament--he was one of the other competitors, and one of the most handsome ones, at that. She watched him with an intent gaze, knowing that he was always as untouchable as everyone else, for to touch him meant a chance that she would accidentally kill him through contact with her poisonous body.
K' could almost sense a gaze following him, and occasionally glanced around before dismissing it as nothing more than nerves; Xiao was safe for now, hiding behind her long, flowing sleeves and her old, chipped teacup. As K' walked further away, Xiao heaved a sigh and closed her eyes. He was untouchable as ever.
"One day...I will be able to love you..." She whispered softly.
Barely hearing another voice in his vicinity, K', looked around suspiciously until he laid eyes upon an almost innocent-looking young woman with silvery-green hair, ruby-red eyes, and a beautiful green outfit adorned with red and gold trimmings.
With his usual grouchy tone, he grunted. "What'd you say?"
Xiao froze on the spot, feeling a sense of fear flood her. "N-nothing. I was just talking to myself."
"You're lying." K' frowned, his intense eyes staring at her.
"...It's not important, sir. I must apologize." Here Xiao Lon paused to get up and turned to walk away. "I have someone to meet."
"Who?"
"Third Prince."
"Who the hell is he?"
"...I...am not allowed to say, I'm afraid. I must take my leave."
"Hmph. Think I'll see you again?"
"Maybe..."
"Maybe?"
"...When next we meet, sir, do not hold back on me. I expect a good fight."
