It was a normal day at James K. Polk Middle School. Lunch break had just started and the students were walking through the corridors.
Loomer and his gang were on their way to their favorite victims.
Ned and Cookie were standing an Mozes locker talking to her about school-stuff.
„Oh no! It's Loomer!", Cookie cried out and hid behind Moze.
„Hey Losers! Hi Jennifer.", Loomer greeted the trio. Crony and Buzz were standing right at his side like usually.
„What do you want?", Moze asked while folding her arms.
„Nothing. We're just here to say hello. Right guys?"
„Yeah!" Crony agreed immediately.
„Whatever."
Moze turned towards Ned and Cookie showing Loomer her cold shoulder.
„Let's fetch some food."
Loomer angrily hit the locker next to him as Moze walked away. The locker flew open and a bowling ball was rolling out of it and hit Loomers head.
„Loomer!", Crony cried out.
Loomer was knocked out. Crony and Buzz carried him to the nurse office. The school nurse told them Loomer was just haveing a mild concussion and needed some rest. As the bell rang Buzz left for class. Crony decided to stay and wait till Loomer woke up.
He was sitting in a chair beside Loomer and watched him sleeping. As the nurse left the room Crony softly stroke Loomers forehead.
„Mummy...?", Loomer asked still half unconscious.
Crony laughed at that. „Try again..."
The bump on Loomers head looked really bad. His smile was fading as he was looking at it.
For a moment he hestitated but then he leaned over and gave Loomer a soft kiss on his forehead.
„Get well soon.", he whispered.
At this moment he heard the door going behind him. He jumped up abruptly looking at the nurse who was entering the room.
„His parents are on their way to get him... home..."
She looked at Crony who was standing there stiffended, his face being bright red.
„Are you okay?"
„Y-yeah! I-I better go to class.", he stammered quickly leaving the room.
The nurse looked after him shaking her head.
„Weird boy."
