Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game

Hisoka didn't quite know when the walls came crashing down. One day, he just couldn't help but smiling at Tsuzuki and suddenly it wasn't just Baka anymore but rather Asato. To hell with Muraki he thought, I will not let him have control over me anymore.

Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

Hisoka invited Tsuzuki over his apartment to finish the paperwork that was due a little over a week ago. They had finished the paperwork and were sitting on the couch eating some cake after the pizza they ordered in. Hisoka noticed a crumb sitting on the corner of Tsuzuki's mouth and impulsively leaned in to lick it off.

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!

I'm through accepting limits
''cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!

"Ano…? Tsuzuki looked puzzled, his amethyst eyes widening at Hisoka's sudden movement.

Hisoka took the initiative to kiss Tsuzuki lightly on the lips and then whispered that he loved the older shinigami and always would. "Ever since the Kyoto case, when I asked you to live for me… I realized I should live for you as well."

Hisoka was unprepared for the magnitude of overwhelming love pouring from his partner despite having been used to the excess emotions for quite some time. Hisoka smiled and then snuggled in his partner's arms figuring they had the rest of eternity to figure out how to master defying gravity.

Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
