hey- so this is my first story, its an AU ish fic its based on merder meet in joes while derek is at a covention in seattle they have a one night stand and he comes back 6 years later and finds something waiting for him.

Chapter 1 – Fate

Mer's best friend Cristina had just been accepted into Seattle Grace's intern program, so they were off to celebrate.

"Cristinaaa" mer moaned, "do we have too"

"yes" cristina replied "now get your ass out of bed and get dressed were leaving in half a hour" and with that she left mer to get ready for night that she would never forget not that she knew that yet.

20 mins later

mer walked down the creaky stairs of the house that previously belonged to her dead mother, she shared with cristina and her 2 other room mates izzy and george who also got accepted into the same program.

Their mouths all dropped

Cristina shouted "way to go mer, you look hot for someone who doesn't want to go"

"I don't want to go, but if I am going I might as well look good"

"well…um..you..lllook..prettty" stuttered george who had, had a crush on mer since he had met her but the feelings were not mutual.

"lets go already" izzy said

As the two girls and one guy made their way to the bar they had named joes after the friendly bar tender named Joe who served them drinks almost every night.

"Hey guys," shouted Joe "the usual"

"No thanks Joe, were celebrating tonight a bottle of your finest bubbly please" Cristiana yelled over the loud noise

"Wow what caused this" Joe said

"Cris, iz and george got into Seattle grace," laughed mer starting to enjoy herself

"Well then the first glass is on the house"

"Thanks Joe" they all replied in unison

and a bottle and three shots later mer and cristina were dancing on the tables when mer heard a voice that she couldn't turn her ears away from

"single malt double scotch" a man said

mer got down from the table with great difficulty forgetting the fact that she was very drunk and made her way over to the bar and ask Joe for another shot

"okay mer but this is the last one"

"mmmm" he heard mer mumble before she sat down next to this man with an very addictive voice"

"so you come here often" the stranger turned to mer

mer suddenly got very breathless as she started into this blue-eyed strangers eyes

"um yeah all the time" she managed to choke out

"I'm Derek by the way" the blue eyed stranger said starring into the beautiful green-eyed lady.

"merediithh" mer slurred

As the time went on and mer switched tequila for water only because Joe wouldn't serve her anymore. So she started to sober up and they soon got on all too well.

But at the back of mer's mind the whole time was dark and twisty mer, dark and twisty mer.

As time drew to a close mer forgot everything as she looked into his eyes down to his lips until his lips were pressed firmly on hers and they lost control of all sense it was like the were in a room all alone

"yours or mine" Derek managed to mumble

"yours" mer said

"roommates"

and with that they were off
