"What do you want then?! Just.. tell me" Sam had shouted through her tears, desperately searching for an answer.

She wanted to know she mattered. Wanted to know that if she were gone, someone would miss her. Would anyone miss her?

Would anyone look twice if she just faded into the walls? Let herself go so completely that she just drifted away into someone else's existence.

She wanted to feel loved. Wanted to know that when she cried there would be someone to wipe her tears away and hold her close.

She wanted to feel safe. She wanted someone to hold her hand when it was dark and raining. Someone to help her stumble through her clumsy life and pick her up when she fell.

She wanted to feel beautiful. Not just attractive, but, special. Noticeable.

She wanted to be the girl that took the breath right out of someone's lungs.

She wanted to fight, scream, yell out in anger and hate and still know that it would be okay tomorrow.

Brooke wanted a lot of things.

But mostly, she just wanted to be seen.

People looked at her all the time. But no one ever saw her. It was like everyone had lenses over their eyes and it stopped part of their vision

Sam's question echoed through her mind.

Sam saw Brooke. She knew her inside out. When Sam looked at her, Brooke's world faded away and she was somewhere else. She was someone other than the person she had created. And even though Brooke didn't really know who she was inside yet, she felt most like herself when she looked into Sam's eyes. Like they were mirrors of what Sam saw .

"I want you to look at me" she murmured. Sam's deep eyes were on her, once again breaking the through her walls.

With that look, everything fell into place, and Brooke knew. She took a step forward, noting the resolve on Sam's face. She reached her arm around the brunettes head and pulled her close. Their lips crushed together frantically. Sam softened and wrapped her arms around Brooke's waist. She took the brunettes bottom lip into her mouth and gently sucked on it, drawing a moan from Sam's mouth.

"I love you" she managed to get out between kisses before breaking them apart.

"I don't care." She stated breathlessly "I don't care about anything else. School, Nicole, the glamazons. Nothing. I don't care. I want you to love me like I love you."

Her eyes were intense, searching Sam's for a response.

The atmosphere was static, tense and electric.

She was on the brink of sanity, each atom in her body threatening to explode.

"That's all I want" she whispered into Sam's lips before pressing into them again.

Their bodies moved together fluidly. Sam's arms circling her body and encasing her soul.

"I love you so much Brooke" she heard Sam say gently.

Brooke McQueen wanted a lot of things, chalked it up to high standards.

She had never expected that one day she would come to need something, someone.

But standing in her hallway, kissing the girl in front of her, Brooke knew.

She didn't just want Sam. She needed Sam.

But, she thought as the smaller girl let her tongue graze past her lips, she was okay with that.
