Prologue
"Once upon a time, everyone knows how it goes, even me. The princess, who is the damsel in distress trapped in a tower. The prince, who slays the dragon, defeats the evil enchantress and rescues the princess. The couple then rides off into the sunset, living happily ever after. The only logic I can understand why it's "happily after" is because it's always true love in the stories. Guess life is over once you find your soul mate."
"From what I'm told, little girls dream about stuff like this happening to them. To find their prince, and have life be like a fairy tale. Some people just want to know their story will end happily. I've never understood it. Perhaps it's because I'm not focused on the end of my story, but rather the beginning."
"As one of my friends puts it; origin stories are the best. In mine, there is no tower, just an underground genetics' lab. My so-called prince's (who found me by accident might I add) didn't come on white horses, only in bright tights and masks. Also, you could say I had to rescue them first. There was no dragon or evil witch to slay, just a mutated monster who was once an evil scientist. The slaying wasn't done with a sword, just an entire building. Didn't even get to ride into the sunset, but I did get to see the moon for the first time!"
