Chapter one.
She walked along the platform, her eyes glued to the cases she was pulling along on the trolley. The sun was shining in her eyes, making them sparkle; she made her way towards the Hogwarts Express.
'Hermione!' Two boys shouted behind her. She whipped her head around, half her brown curly hair now hanging in her face. She saw the familiar faces of Harry and Ron.
'Ron, don't just stand there! We will be late, miss the train! Hurry Up! We should be in the Prefect Carriage by now!' Hermione growled back, not taking her eyes off Ron. 'And, Harry,' She started again, her voice a little bit softer. 'Have you still got that Time Turner that Mad Eye told you to keep safe? You better not have left it at Grimmald Place-'
'I have it Hermione.' Harry interrupted, speaking quietly with one tone to his voice.
'Good, keep hold of it.' She snapped back, while stepping aboard the Hogwarts Express. 'Harry, I'll find a empty carriage, put mine and Ron's things in, then we will go with the Prefects. We won't be long.' She announced sliding open a door to an empty compartment. 'Here..' She stepped in, forcing her and Ron's trunks above the seats.
'Erm, Hermione?' Ron asked, and nearly fell over as the train started moving.
'Not now Ron! We have to go to the Prefect carriage!' She darted back, grabbing Ron's hand and dragging him down to where the prefects were. 'We will be back soon, Harry!' Shouted Hermione, just as she disappeared from sight.
'Right..' Harry said quietly to himself, as he sat down and rested him feet on his trunk. He pulled the Time Turner out of his pocket, and admired the gold gleaming in the sunlight coming from the open window beside him.
Time passed by quickly, Harry snuggled in the corner, pulling his feet up on the seat with him. He flicked through the pages of the new books he got for the new year at Hogwarts, as he was reading Standard Book of Spells Grade 5, he still couldn't help but look at the golden glow of his Time Turner.
'Harry!' He heard a familiar light voice coming from the door. Harry looked up, staring at the two faces of Ron and Hermione.
'Have you heard?' Ron blurted out, hardly giving Harry a chance to reply, he carried on talking. 'Malfoy's a prefect!'
'Indeed I am.' Draco interrupted pushing Hermione out of the way as he walked into their compartment. 'And who do we have here, eh? Potter, Weasel, and his mudblood girlfriend!' He spitted, looking at Hermione who was extreamly annoyed with his sense of humour.
'Shut up Malfoy!' Harry shouted at him, raising his wand and prodding it at Draco's neck. Before Draco could reply, Ron and Hermione had already raised their wands at him.
'Nice one, Potter. Got your little followers? How sweet.'
That was too far.
Before Draco even got a chance to take another breath, he had hex's thrown at him. But Harry's backfired, causing Hermione to fall on top of him, crushing the Time Turner in his pocket.
'Harry! We broke the Time Turner!' She chocked, as golden smoke twisted around them. Next thing they both knew is that they were falling, falling with nowhere to land. There was a flash of yellow light, and Harry and Hermione disappeared.
Ron stared on where they had vanished.
'Im going to kill you Malfoy..' He muttered to himself, sliding the compartment door to a close.
He sat on the seat, watching some second year Hufflepuffs trying to step over the unconscious Malfoy outside his compartment.
'Miserable git.' Ron whispered to himself again. 'I hope Harry and Hermione are alright..' He stared at Harry's case, the initials reading H.J.P, then Hermione's, H.J.G. 'You two better come back soon, I can't live without you guys..'
He laid down, resting his head on the ice cold window, watching the shadows of trees fall onto the compartment floor.
'I want to help, but...I..I don't know how..' He whispered to himself yet again.
