It had been too long; far too long for that matter. For a team who had been together until the very end seven years was more than long. The same street, the same line of stores, the same town that the team had gone too, was all the same. Nothing had really changed in the time that they left.

Carrying his bag, swung over his right shoulder, Kagami strolled down the street. It was almost as if all the memories of the past were rushing by him.

The corner store they stopped at after practice, the sidewalk they walked along not that long ago, it was all there still. All visible. He had come from the train station, only back into town to visit his parents. He was attending school in another province, though it was spring break. He was actually on his way to the basketball court where he used to practice.

He was wearing his shorts and jersey, the same pair he practiced in. Though he was back in his own town once more, the only changes were that it was quiet. None of his old team mates where there so that made everything seemed quiet on his part.

He entered the court where he practiced, there was no one there. He had the whole thing to himself. Though the old him would have been glad to play on his own, this time he sort of missed the company. He looked all around him, he had gotten better at judging his surroundings thanks to a certain person who would always seem to appear out of nowhere when anyone least expected it, but he was not there either.

Kagami shot the basketball around for a little bit, and then put the ball back into his bag and swung it over his shoulder once again. He figured it was not all that fun without a friend there with him. He could remember the names and faces of all of the members who he had played ball with and against. Standing in the middle of the court he didn't move, his red hair had a glisten of sweat in it while his eyes had scanned the area once more. He decided he would just leave.

Kagami walked down an all too familiar street. The best place to eat was on his way back from the court. Walking into the building he stood in line. At the counter he ordered twenty burgers. That was the one thing that had not changed about him; his appetite was still with him. He sat at the table by the window; he looked over at the seat in front of him: empty. He really was good at judging his surroundings now. He took a bite of the burger in his hand and then looked back out of the window. It was reaching dark, the streetlights were turning on, as the headlights of the cars would bounce off of the glass as they drove by.

Kagami had finished his last bite, stood up and dumped the garbage from his try into the trash. He put his hands in his pockets and headed to the door.

From outside someone came walking in. Light blue hair over the person's face and a black hood to cover the rest was all that was visible. Kagami and the stranger walked past one another. Only to have Kagami stop in his tracks. The blue tips had seemed all too familiar and the lack of presence as well. He turned to see the stranger standing in line. Kagami smiled and walked back over to the person that he had just passed and put his hand on the persons shoulder.

"How about I buy you a vanilla milkshake? They make the best ones here…Kurokochii" Kagami said with a grin. Blue eyes looked up at him as the other guy smiled, "sure, Kagami-kun".
