Secrets
Would the definition of secret change if the person keeping it knew nothing about it? I'm not talking about "Oh, this just happened," and then you go ahead and tell everyone, but then declare "I didn't know it was a secret!" No. I'm talking about when you hold a secret that can change your entire life but you know nothing about it. Actually, you do. You do know about it, but you don't see such a big deal involving said secret. I hope this makes sense to you, because it doesn't make sense to me.
But who's keeping said secret?
The Doctor?
Rule #1: The Doctor always lies.
But he's not keeping the secret.
Clara?
You really think it's Clara?
Then who? Who can be keeping the secret?
Anybody?
No?
Me.
I'm keeping the secret.
Just kidding.
I'm not.
Someone else is.
And you'll meet him soon enough.
But wait? Who am I? I smile at your confusion. You'll never guess who I am because . . . I'm not dropping any hints. Ha! You will wait patiently until I reveal myself and then you'll most likely read this whole thing again, and realize . . . ooooooohhhhhhh. How'd I not guess it? Because most of you . . . are . . . oblivious. Completely and utterly oblivious.
For example, Melody Pond. When the name was revealed, you didn't put two-and-two together. Instead, you didn't do anything. Melody Pond was, in fact, the Doctor's wife. Melody equals Song, and Pond equals River. River Song.
But how do I know that? Was I there at Demon's Run? Yes I was. But who am I?
As I promised before, you'll see soon enough.
