I want to live
Where soul meets body
And let the sun
Wrap its arms around me
Bathe my skin
In waters cool and cleansing
And feel
Feel what it's like to be
Me

She wasn't free. She was trapped within herself, within the confines of her own body. She had to free her soul, from within. The confines of life were reaching around and into her; they were limiting her abilities to possibilities.

'Cause in my head
There's a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts
To far off destinations
So they may have a chance
Of finding a place where
They're far more suited
Than here

The thoughts rushing through her head would never stop. Contemplating ways to gain freedom. Contemplating ways to let go of everything. Ways to get out of the prison cell that was holding her from the sunlight she needed.

I cannot guess
What we'll discover
As we turn the dirt
With our arms cupped like shovels
But I know our filthy hands
Can wash one another's
And not one speck will
Remain

As the blade ran down her arm, she watched the red blossom up from beneath the skin. She felt cleaner. Every day this cleansing took place. She stared at the long slit through the skin, biting her lip against the pain. The pain that was her salvation.

I do believe it's true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Because you're the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

She could hear the ringing in her ears growing louder and louder, a song that went on forever. The ringing was getting more high pitched, almost a scream now. And just as it hit the highest note in the song, blackness closed in around her, and it was quiet.

Where soul meets body
