A/N- For people who get confused, this story is from Bianca di Angelos's POV. If you don't where I got my insperation for this story, look on page 31 of Titans Curse. It's where Bianca says, "That explains...Nico, you remember last summer those guys tried to attack us in the alley in D.C.?"

Disclaimer- I do not own anything, except for maybe the old lady. (XD) So yeah, R&R peoples!

Me and Nico, we got into a lot before we found Percy and the others. For example, random people just coming up and attacking us was pretty common. As a matter of fact, it was too common. The day I learned he and I were halfbloods, it all became clear to me. I remember, this one day, we were in some city. It wasn't the cleanest city around. It was the kind of place you would find gangs and drug dealers. Me and Nico, we had just ran away from a military school on a garbage truck, and got off here. We were pretty scared.

"Bianca, this place scares me." Nico whispered to me as we slowly walked down the street. "The people here are scary, to." I have to admit, he was right. I was freaked out to. People dressed in dark colors walked passed us. Each and every one of them staring at us. We did look pretty out of place. Nico was still wearing his navy blue uniform, and I had changed into jeans, and an orange sweater. Not to mention my floppy green hat. Chewing on my lip, nervously, we passed an elderly woman with a Styrofoam cup set at her side.

"Bianca, give her some money!" Nico whispered to me once again.

"Honestly Nico! Does it look like I have money?

"Well..."

Aggravated, I walked right pass the old lady, trying not to make eye contact. Nico kept dragging behind. wanting him to stay close to me, I whipped around.

"Nico! Will you hurry up!"

"I'm going as fast as I can! Quit rushing me!" He said, but soon, ran up ahead of me, to a nearby sewer opening. Bending down, he brought up a small strip of green paper.

"Money!" I exclaimed, as I ran up to him.

"Yeah," he said, "We could give it to that lady!" Grabbing the bill from him, I looked at the amount.

"Fifty dollars!" I said, gaping at the bill. "You want to give her fifty dollars! Nico, we need money to buy some food! I would gladly donate to her, but we need this more!"

"Unless..." Nico trailed off. Aggravated once more, I started looking around, to see if anyone was watching us. No one was around except some gang walking down the sidewalk. There was an alleyway, across from us. Next to a few shackled windows and a garbage can. My eyes kept going back to the alleyway. Squinting hard, I came across yet another strip of green paper, just laying there, in the middle of the ally.

"Nico, look!" I pointed. "Come with me." Nico and I ran into the ally and retrieved another bill.

"Wow! Its another fifty!" Nico exclaimed.

"I don't know...something doesn't feel right here. What if its a trap." I said, clutching the to fifty dollar bills in my hand. Suddenly, the gang that I had seen walking down the street started to silently walk down the ally. Their faces were dark, and their hands were large and muscular. None of them wore shoes. I found this sort of weird.

"Bianca!" Nico whispered as he tugged on my sweater. "Lets go!"

"Okay, lets just walk passed them." I said as the gang came closer. We started walking forward. I kept my eyes on my worn out sneakers, as Nico did the same. As we started to converge with them, I stayed closer to the wall, shivering in fear. Wishing they wouldn't notice us, I came up to them, walking slowly by. Just then, I felt a rough hand grab my shoulder.

"Stay right there!" I heard a deep voice say. Realizing one of the gang members had just grabbed me, I was shoved against the wall, with great force. Nico was pinned to the ground.

"Let my brother go!" I shouted, trying to wriggle away from the man's strong grip. Feeling the cold cemented wall on my back, I kicked the man, hard, between the legs. As expected, he flinched, and went to the ground.

"Run Bianca! Run!" Nico shouted. Half proud of myself for what I had done, I dashed more into the alleyway. I was so stupid. I ran into the ally, but not out of it. It was a dead end, except for a dumpster, which was closed. Whipping myself around, I saw Nico flee out of the ally and into the street, sending one of the thugs after him. The other 3 ran to me.

"Nico!" I yelped as one of the gang members leaped at me. No, not ran to me, leaped to me. I soon realized these weren't real people. The thing once again clamped his hand om my shoulders. Looking down..I fearfully realized that they weren't hands, they were claws. Long dark black claws. His arm was hairy, and his head was hairier.

"Nico! They're not people!" I yelled. Tears streamed down my face. I was so scared. The evil thing's claws dug into my shoulder. Crying in pain, I again, tried to wriggle away. Out of no where, one of the evil creatures faded away. JUst like that! He faded away into dust. And behind him was...Nico.

"Whao...that was cool!" He yelled. I realized he was holding a butcher knife as he said that.

"Nico!" Help!" I said as another hairy monster came at him. Nico agily swiped the knife at his torso, and the monster flew into dust.

"Nico!" I clenched my fists. The thug that was pushing me against the wall was the last one. He kept pushing harder.

"Don't worry Bianca! I got him!" Nico took the butcher knife and jabbed into the hairy thing's back. He then turned to dust. Just like that. Falling, to the ground, panting hard, I looked up at my brother who was benidng down, examining the dust.

"Bianca, what the heck were those things? They definitley were not people!" Sighing, I looked at my shoulder, it was bloody from the thing's claws. Then, the pain hit me. Falling to the ground, I looked up at Nico.

"So, where did you get that knife?" I asked

"Well, it's amazing what you can find in a dumpster!" He said with that goofy smile on his face. It was then that he realized my shoulder.

"Are you okay? Do you want me to get something?" He asked.

"I'm fine." I said, even though I was not. I had other things to worry about then my shoulder.

"Nico, that was really weird. Why did they come after us? What did we do to them?" Nico thought about this for a moment. At first I thought he was going to make some stupid remark about his Mythomagic game, but his answer actually suprised me a bit.

"Well, I mean, we do look out of place, and maybe a bit odd..." He trailed off.

Later that night, we got a motel room with the hundred dollars we had found. Nico kept talking about hit points and attack points for Mythomagic, and I pretended to actually listen. I still remember that day as if it was yeterday. Me and Nico, struggling for our lives. I never did find out who the guys were, or what they wanted. Before I found Percy, I knew that the attck in the alley, would only be the first of many to come.
