"Iruka, get up soon otherwise you'll be late to your classes today," I groaned from under the covers as I nudged him with my hand.
"Classes don't start until… ah, 8 o'clock? So let me just stay a bit long…"
"It's 7:45, Sensei."
After a quick pause, it finally hit him and he jumped out of bed quickly, his feet stomping on the wooden floor to get ready. It was always like this on a Monday morning because the weekends are long and it's understandable that a person would normally feel exhausted waking up so early. Of course it had nothing to do with me and my drive, right? Right.
After a few minutes of water running and the sound of something being scrapped, the chunnin continued his pacing as he followed through with the Monday ritual.
"Hairbrush, hairbrush, hairbrush… I can't find it!"
"On the couch."
Another moment of padding footsteps followed by him grunting, being sure he got all the knots out of his hair. I wrapped myself even further in the blankets as I turned to lie down on my side and waited for him to continue with more series of questions.
"Scrolls! I don't know if I finished them all or not. Ah, today isn't my day."
"I put them in your bag, graded the remaining, and I even did one of those little smiley faces you usually put on them. I didn't put them in alphabetical order though, sorry."
"You're the best, you know that?"
"Hmm."
"I'll repay you when I get home if I have time; I think I have two parent conferences tonight so chances are that I'll be too exhausted."
"Hmm."
"Oh, I almost forgot about this. Have you seen my hair tie?"
I smiled from under the covers as I heard the steps get louder and stop in front of me, this was always the one thing he will always know where it's at. I pushed my arm out from the covers, the single black band around my wrist to call his attention. I knew at this point he would blush immensely as he went to reach for it slowly. As soon as I felt his finger touching the band, I grabbed his wrist and pulled in towards me, the covers coming undone from my body. A simple peck to the lips was always enough for the teacher because he loved little acts of love, despite his mock anger after I let him go. I didn't say a single word as I handed him his hair tie and smiled as his pulled his hair up. Despite me being nude and cold from the lack of the covers, I never moved when he tied his hair and flashed me a shy look.
"I feel like I'm forgetting something today but I have no idea why."
"No issues, Sensei. I'll drop off anything if I see you forgot it."
"I need to go now, I'll see you later."
Another pause as I smiled, completely bare and showing all to the one I loved, I let my eyes close as I waited for another kiss from him. Slowly, he leaned in until I could feel the heat from him all over me despite the fact that he wasn't touching me. Pressing his lips to mine, my hands were kept on either side of my legs as I smiled like a typical idiot of love. His hands settled on my shoulder, maintaining a sigh of bliss and happiness because my breath must smell and the last thing I want is to ruin the moment with my manly odor. When the kiss ended, footsteps padded out the front door and a light click of the lock closing entered my mind.
Opening my eyes, I stared across the small room and noticed a small box with writing on it. Smiling even more, I think that it seems Iruka did leave something behind after all.
