It had been a hard hunt. The boys and I were on are way back to the Impala. Sam and Dean were laughing about the hunt we just finished, Castiel was behind them (obviously not getting the joke) and I was walking at the back. It was late in the night and the cold was creeping in. The adrenalin was wearing off now and I felt the exhaustion of my body. I began to shiver from the cold, so I wrapped my arms around myself in an attempt to keep my body heat in and to suppress the shivers. It didn't help that I was only wearing a strappy top, but I didn't liked to be weighed down by too many clothes. The boys were still joking around but I couldn't muster the strength to laugh; I was too tired.

Cas looked back at me. He gave me a concerned look when he saw how I was shivering. I smiled weakly.

"Are you okay, Lara?" Castiel said, walking level with me now. I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm just a bit cold and tired. That's all" I said, shrugging it off. There was a pause as he looked at me, intently. Sam and Dean had stopped joking to watch our exchange.

"Would you like to wear my coat?" He said.

"What?!" Dean stopped and stared at him.

"Did you just ask that?" Sam said, equally as surprised as the rest of us.

"I believe it is polite in human culture to offer a lady your coat if she is cold." He said, removing his brown trench coat and placing it around my shoulders.

"Lady?" Dean muttered under his breath. I gave him an evil look, before accepting Cas' coat.

"Thank you." I said, pulling it closer.

He nodded once and continued to walk past the brothers. We all just stared at him as he continued to walk toward the impala.

"Well…" Dean broke the silence. "That was… different."

"Yeah," I said, "But at least he is gentlemanly enough to offer to lend me his coat… unlike you two." I wink and walk away. I hear Dean mutter something, but I couldn't make out what he said. Whatever he said, it made Sam burst into uncontrollable laughter.

The drive home will be fun… I think, smiling to myself and cuddling closer to Cas' coat.
