'She said yes. She said yes. She said yes. SHE SAID YES! She said ye-'

'Draco, if you don't shut up, I'll hex your balls off' Blaise grumbled.

'But Blaise, she said yes' Draco sang.

'I know, I heard you the first 20,000 times!' he snapped, frustrated.

Draco had asked Hermione out to Hogsmead for their first annual date since she had agreed to be his girlfriend. Ever since he found her in the astronomy tower, they had grown closer. Draco considered Hermione to be his best friend, and much more. No one would have minded that Draco was excited about his date with Hermione, however he asked well over two weeks ago, and he was still on a high.

'Well, someone needs to take a chill pill' Draco muttered under his breath. Blaise simply glared at him.

'Fine, I'm off to find Hermione, at least she will appreciate my presence!' Draco huffed and walked out the room.

'Good luck to her' Blaise muttered.

Hermione wiped the stray tears that fell from her eyes. Despite the fact she no longer had to share a common room with him, she still had to deal with Ron at meal times and during lessons. Today had particularly hard, as she had had no lessons with Draco, and all of her lessons with Ron and Harry. Everyone in her house now considered their head girl a traitor for associating with a Slytherin.

Ron had been spreading round rumours, and everybody seemed to believe him. She hadn't yet Draco about all of this, and the longer she kept it from him, the harder it was to tell him.

Most Gryffindor's would either sneer at her or ignore Hermione completely.

She jumped as she heard the common room entrance open.

Draco walked in, a smile still on his face. His face dropped when he saw her tears.

'Mione, what's wrong?' he asked, kneeling down in front of her, wiping away her tears gently with his thumb.

'It... it's nothing... really'

'Tell me Hermione'

He held her as she told him the whole story. His expression changed from one of worry to immense anger. He continued to hold her and rock her gently as she finished talking, now fully crying into his robes.

When Hermione had finished talking, he spoke.

'He won't hurt you anyone Mione, I promise. I will never let him hurt you again'

As Draco rocked her gently, Hermione cried herself to sleep in his arms. He carried her to her room and placed carefully in to her bed.

As he closed the door he whispered into the darkness. 'He will pay for this, oh, he'll pay. Nobody hurts my Hermione and gets away with it'

The one thought on his mind, as Draco went to sleep that night. 'I will make him pay'

A/N- did you like it? If this story is the first story of mine that you have read, you should probably read 'Not so Mudblood' and 'My Mione' (in that order) as they are the prequels to this story, and once you do it will probably make more sense. If you like this story, I will add more chapters to it.

Asta la pasta!
