All Connie was able to do was to look in front of her and wonder why her day had gone the way it did. She did not want her flight to be delayed, she did not want to feel bad about her recent breakup, and most importantly, she did not want to be sitting in front of an alien she just met earlier. The little green creature threw a wrench into her ideal get away. Connie arrived in Madrid earlier in the day and was amazed by its beauty. Besides arriving later than she expected, she was excited to start her vacation in the gorgeous country of Spain.

"Are you sure you're alright with riding alone Ms.?" questioned the man running Retiro Park's canal boat rental.

"Yes, I will be fine. The scenery is more than enough for me," Connie replied nonchalantly.

As she got into the small boat, she couldn't help but be amazed by her surroundings. However, when a bundle of previously presumed tablecloths started to move, things were about to go awry. All of the sudden a green head popped through the fabric frightening Connie. To make a long story short, both ended up in the canal while the upturned boat drifted away. With nowhere to go and no understanding of earth whatsoever, Connie had a new friend to spend her vacation with.

"What's your name anyway? Do you even have a name?" The exasperated woman questioned.

The extraterrestrial glanced her way and said in a very strange accent,"I do but it's impossible for humans to pronounce."

"Well, that's convenient. Do you know anything about humans or earth?"

"I know I don't like earth."

"Why? You've barely been here!"

"When my ship crashed, I landed in a strange place full of humans. They were all so loud and running all over the place. Then I was attacked by horned creatures!" Exclaimed the alien.

"Oh. I guess you got caught up with the running of the bulls then." Connie sighed. "Well, I guess we've both had a rough day then."

"I don't understand the appeal to earth," it muttered angrily.

Connie and her new friend went back to her hotel.

"I could really use a glass of wine right now. You probably could too." Connie said holding up a glass.

"What is it?"

"It's called Dominio de Pingus and it's amazing so drink up."

As weird as Connie's current situation was, drinking substantial wine and venting to an alien seemed like the perfect recovery method. She also was surprised as the extraterrestrial started opening up to her. It actually had a lot of feelings.

"You know what? This has probably been the best day I've had. I guess the earth isn't so bad with this stuff," the creature explained while pointing to its glass.

"As strange as it sounds, I agree one hundred percent," Connie said with a smile
