HAHAHA! I got my hands on a computer so I can participate in SoMa week- a week of fanfiction for the best soul eater pairing ever! I'm not a true shipper if I don't participate in this! So without further ado, here is day one of my SoMa week!

Day 1- Memories

There were so many adventures, good times, happy memories. Even through the hard times, he always had her back. At the end of the day, it was him that made sure she was still alive, still breathing. Even though it was a weapons duty to protect his meister, Soul always took it to an extreme. He had almost died for her more times then Maka liked to admit.

People wondered how Maka was friends with Crona after he almost killed her weapon. Easy, she knew that Crona was one being controlled by Medusa. She had taken it upon herself to fix the broken pink-haired swordsman. After years, she had done it. He was able to confront Medusa and become his own person. But then he just... left. He was gone. He had left her a letter, telling her he would always be grateful to her for saving him and they would always be friends, but he needed to find his true calling. So he was off, just like her mother. Upon his leaving, Maka felt... empty.

It was Soul who hugged her when she cried, clutching the note with a shaky hand. It was him who comforted her as she whispered goodbyes Crona would never hear. Maka wouldn't let anyone see her like this, even Tsubaki. Soul was the only one who saw her break down like this.

He never told a soul.

It was him that got rid of her belief all men couldn't be trusted. Because no matter how much they fought, no matter how hard things got, he would always come back. She did, too.

He would die for her, all though she would be none too happy about that. She couldn't survive without him. He couldn't go on without her. There was no darkness without light, there was no good without bad.

He always made fun of her, calling her a bookworm and flat-chested. He drove her self-esteem lower than she even thought possible. Because his opinion mattered most of all to her. He almost never apologized, because he assumed she knew he was kidding. So, he would call her a flat-chested bookworm again. She took every second of it. Because he was always there.

She'd yell at him for scorching their meals. She'd yell at him for not doing things right. Whenever something went wrong, she'd yell at him, even though she was also to blame. She'd Maka chop him, and he had no doubt lost at least half of his brain cells since he met Maka. He took every second of it. Because she was always there.

They didn't know it, but one day they'd work all of these problems out. After they did, they'd laugh at their childish behavior.

They were lifelines, each incapable of going on without the other.

They were happy.

One day, they'd both work up the guts to say "I love you."
