Title: Delicate Flower
Character(s): Asaya Tenjo (OC from Barian Storm), Kaito Tenjo
Rating: T
A/N(s):Not related to the Barian Storm series, so you don't have to go and read it to understand. Some OOCness from Kaito, but this is my headcannon of a side he never shows to others, except for the very special few that are closest to him.
I do not own ZEXAL.
It was rare that Kaito, being the stone-hearted person that he was, became emotional. He never, ever, showed weakness to anyone, but despite his best efforts, everything was starting to cave him in.
Asaya was deeply concerned for her younger twin brother. He was being quite distant as of late, and now here he was, laying on her bed with his knees brought tight to his chest. He never showed this weak side of his, except for once when they had been fourteen and they'd learned of Haruto's condition.
Asaya approached her brother tentatively, sitting beside him. Kaito looked at her, then shut his eyes tightly.
"It's her again, isn't it?" she asked softly. Kaito nodded his head a little, but then shook it as if that wasn't the only thing.
This was a touchy topic. Asaya knew that Kaito had an... interest... in someone. But it wasn't until she died that he'd become extremely irritable. She had to step lightly in this territory, or she could possibly set off something that was unwanted.
And that's where another subject came in.
Asaya hated that people judged her twin just by his actions. On the outside, he was a tough bad-ass with a temper and uninterested in having any connections to anyone except Asaya and Haruto.
But, on the inside, he was a delicate flower. He was suffering, suffering from the actions he had done and the lives he'd ruined by hunting down the Numbers. He felt guilty all the time. There had been so many times that Asaya had come in on him trying to do something to harm himself, she had lost track at the count of forty.
"Shh, it's okay..." she murmured softly, threading her fingers through his blonde hair. He calmed slightly, but still seemed to be troubled.
The girl sighed, knowing that her brother was not going to let his emotions go any time soon.
She knew that this was something he would want to forget in the future, but for now, she just let him wallow in his feelings, desperately trying to get himself back to stone.
He was truly a delicate flower, and if a breeze were to blow by him, he would simply fall apart.
