Legend of the Origins of Halkegina:

Long ago, before the golden age of nobility, three mysterious beings appeared on the shores of the world. One of the beings was mortally wounded and his companions searched and scouted for any help within the land. However no one was willing to aid these "beings" and it seemed that the one being's death was imminent. However, a man from a small fishing village used his magic to heal the being. The three beings, upon seeing the righteousness of this man granted him knowledge and wisdom, almost as the beings themselves possessed. The man then returned to his village, and upon seeing his wisdom, the villagers made him their king and set the three beings as "gods" above the whole land. Villages all over the world became united under the wisdom and guidance of the king and the gods. A great kingdom arose and it was named halkegina. And for many years there was peace in the land...until, one of the gods became corrupt and began to thirst for a greater power. He attempted to recruit the wise king, but failed as the king instead went to the other gods who then confronted their former companion. However they were unable to stop him and his newfound power. So they sought out the strongest of the mages (including the king) and bestowed upon them, the power of the void. Together, the void mages and the gods banished the evil entity to an impenetrable prison, deep beneath the earth. However this all had a cost, as the Wise King sacrificed himself to deal the final blow. With the king dead, the land was split into different kingdoms. The two gods disappeared, with promises of a return when the world needed them most...

"Is that it?"

A young and innocent voice paired with even more innocent eyes became apparent.

"Yes my child", a soothing mothers voice reached out to the child.

"But what about the gods?" The little child's voice rang out again, just as sweet as before.

The mothers eyes wandered, studying her daughter, as she pondered this question. The little child before her was nearly 5 years of age, and already looked almost exactly like her mother. Her strawberry blonde locks dangling in her face, the little girl sat up in her bed with large questioning eyes.

"What about them mommy?" She demanded.

Her mother snapped attention back to her daughters voice.

"Well, the legend says they went away sweetie." She attempted to tuck the child back into her bed, however the girl only had more questions to ask.

"But where did they go? Who were they? Why aren't they back yet?"

The mother chuckled. Sometimes the innocence of a child could light up even the darkest of times.

She brushed the girls hair back, saying; "Maybe one day the gods themselves will answer these questions" The girl frowned and folded her arms.

"But I wanna know now!" She whined at her mother. Smiling sweetly at her daughter, the woman brushed her cheek.

" One day...you will know, my darling Louise."
