"Momma?" a small voice cried. "Where did she go??" the tiny baby lupe wondered. Not even ten minutes old, she had been left in a small cardboard box on a dirty sidewalk in Neopia in the almost dark streets. Abandoned. "Momma, momma!!!!!, don't leave me here!!" Finally it hit the tiny, nameless lupe. Momma would not come back, not ever. "Momma, why would you leave me behind??? You and papa, why did you go away?" The young neopet thought. She lifted herself up to see the outside world. Her tiny frame struggled to climb up the huge box walls. She managed to take a quick look around before she fell back to the bottom of the dirty box. All she could see before she fell back down was a dark alley only lit by the faint glow of the dying street lamps.
A young female shoyru, in her late teens, named madhea_ai, was walking home to her empty house. She had no family, her family had died in the Maraquan whirlpool. That was so long ago to her. Turning the corner, five minutes away from her large and gorgeous home, she thought to herself "I wish I had someone to care for and who could love me in return, anyone at all!! I am so alone..."
Two minutes later, when madhea was almost home, she found a large box. As she got closer, she heard a faint cry calling, " Momma, momma!". She slowly walked to the box and peered curiously inside. "Oh my!" she cried softly. She saw the tiny female baby lupe who had no name. " Hello little one" she said to the little one who was now shaking from a mix of cold, hunger, and fear. Yet the tiny baby knew that madhea was a gentle neopet, despite what her instincts were telling her. " Are you all alone ?" madhea asked softly, because she didn't want to scare the baby. The shivering newborn nodded. Madhea reached into the box and picked the baby up and wrapped her in the coat that she had been wearing. " Don't worry, I will take care of you." madhea_ai whispered to the now sleeping baby and walked the rest of the way home in silence.
In madhea's room the baby was now sleeping in an old crib that she had found in the attic along with some old baby clothes from when other neopets had lived here before her. The clothes were so big on the tiny lupe, whom madhea had now named snow-star, that she was lost in them. So madhea just left the tiny baby in the diaper she had bought at store one block away from her mansion. Madhea_ai climbed into bed and thought to herself as she drifted to sleep,"Snow star my baby, I will love you forever."
