Sounds at night
I'm still stuck in the house I hate. It's too small and cramped. Sharing a room with Nelly isn't too bad. She isn't loud when I'm trying to sleep or anything. She just rests her head on a pillow like a little puppy tired from running around all day.
I often listen to the sounds outside while I try to fall asleep. It's mostly the wind that I hear, sometimes there are crickets chirping if it's warm out.
However, tonight the sounds I heard were weird. It was almost like a crying sound...like a little girl was crying.
At first I thought it was Nenny and looked over to her. She was still asleep.
I closed my eyes and managed to fall asleep.
