50/50 Dictionary Challenge, Number Five- Retrospect
This is short, but I think it's sweet. Review?
In retrospect, there was nothing that could bring us together. In retrospect, we just couldn't work together. In retrospect, I was too light; he was too dark. He was black and white (and red), and I was every colour in between. I was too loud, too bright, too bouncy, too…me.
In overall retrospect, we just couldn't work.
On the contrary…
In "real"ospect, there is nothing that can break us apart. In "real"ospect, we're closer and stronger every day. I might be too light, but he needs me to balance out his darkness. Together, we make up the entire beautiful spectrum. He loves that I'm loud, bright bouncy.
Because he loves me.
In overall "real"ospect, we've blown the entire idea of retrospect up, and we continue to defy it daily.
