Holly walked over to her, and tried to have a conversation with her.
"Hey, Adyson. What's wrong?" she asked. "Aren't you having fun?"
The girl looked over at her. "Eh, not really. It's just boring."
"Hey, by the way, have you seen Katie?" Holly asked looking around, "We haven't seen her in a while."
"No..." Adyson groaned.
"Well, okay, bye, then..." Holly said, walking away. Adyson watched her go back to the group, minus Katie, then looked around the room. She spotted Phineas getting a drink at the food stand, then spotted Ferb and Gretchen on one side of the room.
Then, she saw in one corner, a person leaning against the wall. Walking over, she recognized who it was.
As she approached, Adyson tried to talk to her.
"Katie? Katie, what's wrong?"
Katie looked up, and she looked like she had been crying for a while. Adyson's heart broke a little.
"Why are you crying?" Adyson asked.
"B-Because..."
"Why?"
"Because, Isabella's always talking about Phineas, Phineas, Phineas, and it hurts! She has someone who loves her, I don't! She has someone to dance with, I don't! When is it my turn?
When will I have a boyfriend?" She began to sob more.
Adyson watched the crying girl, heart wrenching, as she tried to think of something to say, something to console her.
"Well..."
She put her arm around her.
"...Who needs boys, anyway?"
Katie, calmed down a little, but still kept crying.
"Katie, if you want, I'll dance with you," Adyson offered, blushing a little.
The blond girl stopped crying, and looked up at her, face red, half- caused by crying, half-blush.
"Y-You would?"
Adyson took Katie's hands, and smiled warmly. "Of course, Katie."
Adyson waited for Katie to wipe her tears away, and to calm down.
"C-Could we...?" Katie was too shy to finish her question.
Adyson leaned over and planted a quick kiss on her cheek, causing Katie to blush and freeze.
"Now, come on, let's dance," Adyson said, as she pulled Katie, who was beet-red and smiling shyly, onto the dance floor.
