A/N: Well this is my first. Please realize this takes place in the Struggle, just another moment when Damen is trying to 'win' Elena.

"Elena..." I whisper her sweet name, feeling it come from somewhere deep. I relish the surprise in her wide blue eyes. Her blonde hair moves with a unseen wind and ruffles around her face.

I raise my hand and gently let my fingers graze her cheek and let the warmth blossom beneath them. She slowly narrows her eyes at me a stern look overtaking the dazed one that had settled on her face.

"No, Damen-"

But I can't let her finish. She still continues to fight me when we both know this what she wants. She can't hide her feelings from me. With us together and alone, her feelings of confused attraction and guilt wash over me uninvited- but I take it in happily. I use it as evidence; she can't say she doesn't want this because her body says otherwise.

But maybe it's that stubbornness that has me memorized. Her beauty is one thing, but her spirit itself is something I would never get bored of. She's something I want to take for me and only me forever. Never having to share such a prize...

I jerk her head upward with one finger under her jaw. Her spill of blonde hair covers her white neck and I brush it back easily revealing a tainted throat. Two red wounds are already pierced in her flesh. My nostrils flare and I look at Elena in anger.

"What is this?" I demand and I get irritated when she laughs, mocking me.

"I love Stefan, and I-" but she stops, her victorious smile falling.

I glare at her scowling furiously. My mouth has twisted into a frown and I snarl at her, "My brother will not come between us. He will never ruin my chances again with his weak mind and soft, pitiful nature."

I laugh suddenly and sharply. "My brother is nothing great and has never amounted to his true potential with such a gift he has been given. Even if it is not a gift, everyone must learn how to accept with what they've been dealt." I stare into scared but determined blue eyes meaningfully, directing the words at her.

She takes in my message considering it, and then she says slowly as if trying to explain something to me, "I am not 'dealt' with anything. I can choose what and who I want to be with on my own. No one makes up my mind for me." After lifting her chin defiantly I draw back from her. Taking blood from her feels dirty, like I was handed left overs, and I was merely left with what I had. I was not willing to share her.

And this wasn't even a fight really. Stefan was weak and vulnerable. Petty. I just had to rid him from interfering with what wasn't his.

I smile coldly dipping my head and leaning closer to the gracious girl. "Remember this," I murmured satisfied with the quick pace of her heart pumping the warm blood through her veins. "Soon enough you will give in. You're right; you know exactly what and who you want. You do know," I repeated emphasizing the words. I wanted her to remember this, my voice in her thoughts, giving her doubt to her foolish loyalty. "You know exactly who you want."

I pull back from her completely and melt into the darkness moving faster than her eyes can follow.

Okay, well tell me what you think :) I need some feedback since this is my first time letting people read my writting...
