Nayu: Not to sound mean…but you do I have been waiting to be in a story for almost a year, but if your active does that mean your back?

Edit 11/12/14: Okay, I was looking over the story and one thing I have to say...BLEH! We'll in my opinion, since I have gotten better in writing for me, I think it's time for a couple of edits. So, number one, I will change the name cause I don't think it fits well with the story, in a game I don't think a real name is good. So, I am changing the name of the OC and maybe looks to someone else called Nanami Yuki whose name online is Nayu. I hope that you guys will enjoy the edits.

Accessories: She wears an crystal necklace around her neck that she obtain during a quest as well as teal tear drop earring on her right ear and a basic gold band earring on the left ear. Later will obtain an pirate hat as her hat as the story progresses.
Chapter 1: The Apocalypse
Elder Tale, a MMORPG game that has over 30,000 Japanese players and hundreds of thousand players worldwide. But, in 2018, all of Japan had been converted into the Elder Tale world. For these players, what was once a "sword-and-sorcery world" is now the "real world"! We'll see how our Nayu and all of the other players survive in the world of Elder Tale.
3rd POV
In the realm of Elder Tale, many players have logged in, however, they seem to have a confuse look on then. A young girl blinks twice and looks around seeing the confused look on the people around her.
"...What's going on?" The young girl questioned.
The young girl looks at herself and her eyes widen. "W-What is this?!" She begins to circle around looking at herself. "Isn't this my player Nayu? If it is, why am I wearing her clothes?!"
She stops circling and stood, looking around the area she is in. Looking around, the area has collapsed buildings with grass and moss growing on top of them. At the center of the collapsed building, there lies a big tree grown to reach the sky.
"This area, could it be..." She placed her index finger on her cheek and tilted her head as she closed her eyes and thought.
'The sudden resemblance to Nayu, the people around having swords or staffs, and the big tree growing in the middle...!'
Opening her eyes and straightening her posture, she jumped and widen her eyes again.
'Wait, could it be...Is this Elder Tale?!'
Looking around, she sees that everyone around her may be thinking the same thing. One thing that is on everyone's mind, they are not in Japan anymore, but are in the Elder Tale realm.
"I can't believe it..." She sat down on a boulder. "After logging on after so long, this happens...Why..." She just sat there with gloom marks, until she had a thought and stood up for her seat.
"…Wait! Can't I get out by logging off, I mean this is a game?" Nayu was then able to open her menu from the game. Right in front of her, was the character screen for the Elder Tale game.
"Hmmm…the set up is exactly like the game, there's a status button and friends list...Huh? But I can't log off!" When Nayu tries to press the log off button, the button shows a red cross on top showing of denying access.
"Guess that doesn't work." She looks up to the sky. "...Does that mean that we are all trapped here, stuck in our favorite game..."
As she says that, a young man heard what she said and began walking towards her. When he got close, he held her shoulder with a gentle grip. "Apparently we are all on the same conflict."
Shocked of the sudden voice and touch, Nayu took out one of her swords and slashed it so it was close to the person's neck. She was about to land a hit on the person until she got a closer look at the person. Looking closely, it was a young man maybe around his 20s, with round glasses, blue shaggy hair, a white cape draped above his brown sweater and is holding onto a staff in one of his hands.
Noticing what she just did, Nayu placed down her sword back into the hilt. She then bowed to the stranger. "I am so sorry about that. It's a reflex I have in which if a random thing touches you, then you hurt it."
"It's okay, everyone has that reflex in them." The man touches Nayu's head indicating to stand up straight. "Come on, stand up straight now."
Nayu stood up straight after what he said and notice the height difference between the two. As she stares at the gentle giant, she almost fails to notice the hand stretched out to her.
"I'm Shiroe, nice to meet you."He smiled slightly at the girl. "What is your name?"
Looking at the hand for a few seconds, she took out her own hand and shook Shiroe's hand. "My name is Nayu in Elder Tale."
"Nayu..." Shiroe sinks that name and look into his mind. "I see, again nice to meet you. "
"Nice to meet you too, Shiroe." Nayu took her hand back. As she took her hand back, she looks at Shiroe with a look of questioning. "Shiroe, do you by any chance know why we are here?"
Shiroe held his chin with his thumb and index finger with a concern look. "Unfortunately, I am also confused at to why we are all stuck here." He placed his arm down to his side and looked at Nayu. "But, I am going to see my friend right about this, if you want, you can come with me."
Nayu thought about Shiroe's offer, and after a few seconds she looked at him with a look of comfort. "Sure, beside I won't be able to solve anything if I just stand here."
With that said, Shiroe and Nayu stood side by side and began walking to Shiroe's friend. As the duo walked, there was a noticeable discomfort in the air between the two. Annoyed about the atmosphere, Nayu spoke to make the air lift up. "Hey Shiroe?"
Shiroe looked over at her. "Yes, is there something wrong, Nayu?"
"Are you by any chance a Mage class, it's because I noticed that you have a staff?"
"Yeah you're right. I'm a LVL 90 Enchanter class." He looks over to Nayu with a look at confusion. "But, I don't know what class are you?"
"Ah, I'm a LVL 90 Swashbuckler." She stopped walking and took out her long swords. "Here, I have two long swords as weapon."
She shows Shiroe her weapons out on her hands. However, he doesn't know that she has two guns hidden in her coat. She hid them for a serious battle and for a surprise attack. She was one of a few players that have guns for weapons since gun weapons are not that common in Elder Tale.
"Ah I see, as I remember, swashbucklers can use two weapons right?" Shiroe said.
"Yup, even though its attack are weaker then an assassin it makes up with the extra combos it deals." She placed the swords back in the hilt and continued walking.
"That is true." Shiroe stopped walking at that moment making Nayu stop as well.
"Is something wrong?" She looked in his direction.
As she said that, Shiroe began walking again, but in a faster speed. "Hey! Wait, Shiroe!" Nayu started to walk at the same pace as Shiroe.
"My friend is over there, so we should hurry there." Shiroe said as he walked.
The duo starts to walk over to a man with a big armor. From his status, he is seen to be a level 90 guardian.
"Hey Naotsugu."Shiroe waved his hand up.
"Hey Shiroe." Naotsugu did the same thing. He then tilts to the side to see the girl behind Shiroe. "Hmm, who is that behind you?"
As he says that, Nayu had just finish speed walking and is right now standing next to Shiroe.
"Ah I almost forgot, Naotsugu this is Nayu a LVL 90 swashbuckler."Shiroe lifted his hand to show Naotsugu. "Nayu, this is Naotsugu a LVL 90 Guardian and the friend I was telling you about."
"Nice to meet you Naotsugu." Nayu let out her hand. "As Shiroe said, my name is Nayu."
But all Naotsugu did was look at Nayu and began doing a flash teleport at Nayu's sides looking at her while hold his chin. When he finish, he was a feet in front of the two and threw a thumbs up with a grin. "She may not be sexy, but she is very cute." Naotsugu said.
Hearing that bit, Nayu's face turned red and hid herself behind Shiroe to hide her red face of embarrassment. From the sudden contact, Shiroe got a bit shock and tried to push Nayu out. "Hey, Nayu, it's okay. Naotsugu is always like that to women and girls."
From the sudden scene, all Naotsugu did was rub his index finger under his nose, and gave a smirk. "I wonder how did you land a shot at this cute young girl, Shiroe. Maybe...she is your type."
Hearing the sudden comment, the duo stopped what they were doing, turned beet red in the face, and separated from each other making Naotsugu give out a joking laugh. After that was over, the scene got serious again with the group in a small circle and Naotsugu sitting on one of the ground slabs.
"So Shiroe, do you know why are we here?" Naotsugu looked over at said man.
"No Naotsugu, I just log on and suddenly I'm here."
"Hmm, maybe everyone else got here by logging on, but did you notice we can't log off?" Naotsugu said.
"Yeah, when I tried to log off, it rejects to command."
From that comment, Nayu thought back to when she also tried to log off, but fails. As she though back, she remembered something that she saw on the same site.
"Wait!" She spoke up. "Didn't the site talk about a new update to the game before we all logged on?"
Shiroe thought about what Nayu said and widen his eyes at the sudden thought. "Nayu's right. The Elder Tale site said that the Novasphere Pioneers expansion was to be released today."
Naotsugu suddenly stood up from his seat and looked over at the two. "Well, we can't get any answers just sitting here. Let's go ask other players, Shiroe, Nayu."
"Yeah that's true also we can ask people of whats going on." Shiroe looked over to Nayu." Are you coming with us Nayu?"
Nayu just showed a small smile. "Of course going with you guys, I also want to know what's going on."
"Yep."Shiroe.
"Let's go."Naotsugu.
The trio then started to walk away from their meet up to explore this new world. But before they could continue walking, Shiroe tripped over his own feet making the other two look over at him.
"Ah Shiroe are you ok?" Nayu went over to Shiroe to see if he's ok.
"A-Ah yeah I'm ok, I'm not used to this body since it's taller then my original body." Shiroe got up on his knees.
"Then Let's continue." Naotsugu said.
Nayu held out her hand in which Shiroe took as Nayu lifted him up on his feet. When Shiroe got back on his feet, the group continued on their quest of exploration.
"Hey Naotsugu?" Shiroe said.
"Yeah, what Shiroe."
"If you're here, then does that mean you finally logged back into the game?"
"Yeah, after 2 years I finally had time to log back on, but who would have thought that I'd be caught up into this."
"True." Shiroe said.
While the two men were talking, Nayu was just looking around the area with curious eyes. However, she felt a small pain on her forehead which she noticed on the ground to be a small rock. She then figures out that rocks are being thrown at the group. When she looked around the area, she notices a man with a ninja costume hiding in one of the buildings. As the other kept talking, Nayu snuck away from the group and used her tracker skills to go to where the ninja is. As she was in the same building as the ninja, she noticed the mysterious ninja about to throw a big boulder which Nayu took out on of her swords and held the sharp blade near the ninja's throat. The ninja froze in place at the sudden blade in contact with its throat. The ninja turned around slowing to see Nayu holding the blade close to it's throat with a glare of anger. "Why were you throwing rocks at our group..."
The ninja didn't say anything and just stayed in the same position. As the two held a stare down between themselves, Naotsugu and Shiroe notice the ninja still holding the boulder and Nayu holding her sword at the ninja at the top of the building.
"Huh Nayu, Akatsuki?" Shiroe looked up shocked.
"You know who the ninja is?" Naotsugu looked at Shiroe shocked.
"I was in a party with him before, he never talks though." Shiroe replied and walks to where the two are.
Back with the two, Nayu looked at her group in shock of their words, mostly Shiroe's, and looked back at the ninja with wide eyes.
"You...know Shiroe..." Nayu said.
The ninja didn't say anything, but gave a small nod indicating that it did. Seeing the answer, Nayu took her sword back into the hilt and gave the ninja a bit of space by getting a feet away from the ninja and sitting on one of the boxes.
Later on, Shiroe and Naotsugu are seen walking inside the building heading for Akatsuki and Nayu. They got to the area where the duo are there just sitting down near each other just waiting for them to come up. Seeing that the guys caught up, Nayu stood up from her seat and walked to the duo.
"Hey Akatsuki you're here too, does that mean your in the same situation as us?" Shiroe said.
When Shiroe said that, Akatsuki lowered his mask and looked at Shiroe.
"Hey Shiroe, you have the potion that changes a person appearance right, let me have it."The guy ninja said.
When Akatsuki spoke, the group heard a female voice come out of the make ninja's body. After a few moments, Nayu looked at the ninja in confusion. "Hey, did his voice sound like a girl or is it just me?" She said looking dumbfounded.
"…Nah it sounded like a girl." Naotsugu did the same thing.
After calming down, Shiroe dug through his pouch and gave the requested potion to Akatsuki who hid behind boxes to drink the potion. As Akatsuki was drinking the potion, Nayu looked over at Naotsugu with confusion.
"Hey, Naotsugu?"
"Yeah what's wrong Nayu?" He looked over at her.
"If Akatsuki's voice sounds like a girl, does that mean that he is actually a she?"
"...Y-Yeah, I guess" He replied.
"But does that mean that sh-."
Before Nayu could finish that sentence, Akatsuki lets out a blood-curling scream and a light appears where Akatsuki is.
A few moments later
"Hey Shiroe?" Akatsuki said behind the boxes.
"Yeah Akatsuki?" He looked over at the boxes.
"T-Thanks for that."Akatsuki said.
When she comes out, the group was shocked to see a small cute girl with long hair and what were Akatsuki's clothes on her, which then shows Akatsuki's status from male to female.
"A-Ah it's ok Akatsuki-san." Shiroe turned red from the sudden change of image. Akatsuki is then shown dressed in clothes similar to her ninja clothes but in a size that fit her.
"Shiroe, for what you done you are now my master." She said.
"E-Eh it's ok Akatsuki-san."
Nayu was over at the side with Naotsugu happy now that there is another girl in the group. Nayu then goes up to Akatsuki to and held her hand out to introduce herself.
"Hello Akatsuki, I'm Nayu, a Swashbuckler nice to meet you, and sorry for giving you a sword to the throat." Nayu said with a smile.
Akatsuki takes Nayu's hand and shakes it with a smile. "Nice to meet you, Nayu. And it's okay, it was only to protect your friends."
As the two girls let go of their hand shake, they know that this is the start of a beautiful friendship between them.
"But Akatsuki, your really shor- AH!" Before Naotsugu finish that sentence he got kneed to the wall by Akatsuki because of what he was about said.
Next day
Shiroe and the group had walked for a while and had finally arrived at town where a NPC market was at. As the group walked through the market, they hear a sound among the group.
*grumble* "A-Ah s-sorry guys, I must be hungry now." Nayu said red.
"Haha it's okay Nayu everyone gets hungry once i-." *grumble* Naotsugu said as his stomach did the same thing.
The group just stood there in silence from the sudden noise from the two people's stomach.
"I guess this means it's time to get some food right, Shiroe." Nayu looked over to him.
"That's right, come on let's go buy food everyone."Shiroe said walking to a food stall.
"Lets go!" Everyone else followed after. The group bought so much food from the market for later. After buying the food amount needed, they laid all of their food out which at first sight looked really delicious.
"Yosh let's eat." Naotsugu taking a piece of the food. But as soon as they took that first bite, they all froze with the food still in their mouths.
"...sorry but I'm done now." Nayu placed her piece down with sadness. The food did not taste like anything so it brought her hunger and glee down.
"What is this it doesn't taste like anything." Naotsugu said with tears running down.
"Even if all this food looks so good, it has no flavor at all." Akatsuki eyed her food.
"That's true." Shiroe replied.
Nayu looked up with a tear stream falling down her face. "Man, there goes the one thing I could have enjoyed!"
Due to the disappointing lunch (Nayu: you fail me food I shall never trust you again) the group repacked all of their food. As the group was packing the food, Nayu looked around to see Shiroe holding his hand to his ear indicating that someone must be talking to him. Nayu comes up as soon as he finish the call.
"Hey Shiroe are we heading out now?" Nayu said.
"Yeah, but I have to go talk to a guild leader about something so we have to go over to the guild hall first okay?" He looked over at her.
"Yeah it's okay." Nayu turned to the others in the group. "Hey Naotsugu, Akatsuki, we have to go right now okay."
"Ok." Naotsugu.
"Got it." Akatsuki.
The group finish packing up all the laid out food and headed off to the guild hall.
At the guild hall
"Wow there are so many doors in this building huh Shiroe?" Naotsugu said in awe.
"Yeah Naotsugu, each of these doors represent each guild with their very own zone and hall." Shiroe replied.
"Even guilds from far away can also have halls here, right?" Nayu stated.
"Yep, any guild created will have a hall in any guild building." Shiroe said.
The group walked around the guild hall until they reached the door for the guild crescent moon alliance. As the group opens the door, out comes sparkles coming from the cuteness of the room.
"Wow this room is so cute I just have to look around." Nayu said with sparkles in her eyes and then disappears from the group to look around the room.
While the group was looking around the room, they all hear a women's voice.
"Shiroe!" The voice called out.
Out comes the guild leader Maryelle targeting Shiroe into a flying hug in which she was successful in. While Nayu was holding a white teddy bear with a red bow around its neck in her arms, she notices that Akatsuki seems to have a jealous emotion from Maryelle's hug. Soon after, Maryelle let go of Shiroe and targets Akatsuki into a hug next.
"Ah so cute, hey Shiroe is she your girlfriend?" Maryelle looks up to Shiroe.
"N-No she isn't Maryelle!"Shiroe said a bit red.
Maryelle lets go of Akatsuki and targets Naotsugu next for a hug, which annoyed him due to her weird behavior behavior. When she sets eyes on Nayu...well you know what happens.
"Oh my gosh so cute." Maryellen hugged Nayu tightly. "Hey, what's your name?"
"E-Eh m-my name, it's Nayu nice to meet you." Nayu said turning blue from the hug.
"Ah so cute really, you can keep the bear." Maryelle looked over at Shiroe as she kept hugging Nayu."Hey Shiroe, is this girl your girlfriend then?"
From saying that, both people turn red as Nayu tried to hide her face behind her bear and was able to get out of Maryelle's grasp to run over to Akatsuki for defense.
"N-No not her either I don't have a girlfriend Maryelle!" Shiroe said beet red. As the embarrassing moment kept continuing, it was soon interrupted when the door opened to show another member of the guild, Henrietta.
"Hey Shiroe now that you're here we ca-!" That sentence soon ended from Henrietta as she noticed Akatsuki and Nayu.
"OMG SO CUTE!" Henrietta sped off from where she was and hugged both Akatsuki and Nayu due to cuteness cowing out of the two. No one in the main room noticed that the guild members were right outside the door seeing their masters act that way. After that moment was over, the group got serious and sat separate from the guild.
"Then Shiroe, to business, right now 19 members of Crescent Moon Alliance are online right now and 18 of them is in Akiba." Maryelle said serious. "Just like Akiba, the other cities Shibuya, Minami, Susukino, and Nakasu are in the same conflict and they can't transport to other cities due to inter-city transport being offline."
"Hey won't it be easy playing this game because we are familiar with this." Naotsugu said.
"True, but due to the new expansion there might be new monsters as well as quests and items." Shiroe said.
"Hey Shiroe, do you want to join Crescent moon alliance?" Maryelle suddenly pointed out.
But Shiroe just shook his head."Sorry but I will have to decline your offer Maryelle." Shiroe and his group soon left the guild building leaving Maryelle and Hennrietta watching them.
When the group got outside the guild hall, Nayu was lost in thought until she stopped making the group stop also and looked at her confused.
"Hey, Nayu, is something on your mind?" Naotsugu asked.
"Yeah...Since we are in Elder Tale, what happens if we die?" She looks at the group concerned.
"Eh, well...Maybe we can get out, or we might die in real life." Shiroe looks at her."For now, we should go try out the combat system ok everyone?"
"Ok." Everyone else said. The group resumed walking and headed to the forest to do as Shiroe said.
In the forest
The group was walking around The Archive Tower Forests. It was really quiet and it made some of them wonder where are the monsters. But, they remember that if there a low level monster, they would ignore them due to being too high level. But, in the Archive tower forests, the monsters will aggro on sight of players. Later, Naotsugu notice something while walking making him stop in place.
"Hm, hey guys, our mini-maps don't work." Naotsugu notify the group.
Nayu tries to open her map, but fails to do so. "He's right, I guess for this area, we'll have to walk blind."
All of the sudden, level 28 Brier Weasels appeared in front of the group.
"Hey look they're level 28, I think we can beat them." Naotsugu took out his sword.
Everyone else did the same with their weapons and started to fight the monsters using their skills from the command menu. But, none of their skills are giving damage to the weasels. Until, Nayu swung one of her swords without a skill command to summon the sharp edge skill which actually destroyed a weasel.
"Wow Nayu, how did you do that!" Naotsugu said amazed.
"I don't know, I just swung my sword and sharp edge activated." Nayu said doing the same thing to another enemy.
'Just swung her sword?' Shiroe suddenly had a idea.
"Everyone, don't rely on your skills, just move your body." Shiroe said.
Everyone tried that idea and were able to defeat some weasels. But, the weasels started to get more aggressive, but that didn't affect the 4 players as they kept using their skills. The group was soon able to defeat all of the weasels around them. It was tiring, but they were able to survive their first combat battle.
At another place
"Maryelle please help me." A voice said.
Suddenly, players from another guild started to go after the voice's owner.
"Hey there she is, come back!" One of the players said.
When she heard their voices, she soon ran off not wanting to be caught. But, What she didn't notice was that someone was looking at her run from the shadows who would be her savior from the players.
B-Rabbit28: This is where we'll leave off for now, yeah I know its not exactly like it but its close to the actual thing. Also you can tell but I'm not good at fight scenes, maybe next chapter I'll do it but until then, review please. ^^
