My Immortal

I'm running, running through the woods. Trees whip past me, inches from my face. I hear him just behind me. His footsteps breaking twigs, crumbling leaves.
"You can never escape me!" he called from behind me. I don't answer, don't look back. "Damien, leave her alone!" Danny called in his Australian accent. So he is with him I thought.
"Keep running Evangeline" Danny yelled at me. I'd had enough, I stopped. Damien and Danny ran into my back. "You give up" Damien snarled at me.
I snarled back. "Damien" Danny started. "Danny, why'd you follow me?" I ordered. He stepped forward.
"Angel you know I" I cut him off. "My name isn't Angel, it's Evangeline" I turned. "Now goodbye".
They let me go. I killed my own father. Alpha male. And that was over three years ago. So why hunt me now?
They should be grateful. My father was crude, nasty, evil, and most of all greedy. He hated all mortals.
He even killed my mother when I was two. I'm thirteen now. I hear more footsteps. Slower, a human.
I freeze. He was crying. "Why" he was murmuring. I sneak behind him.
"Why what?" I ask. He screamed, turned to me, and cleared his throat.
"Who-who are you?" he asked cautiously. "I'm Evangeline Kona, you?" I say. "Ember Knight" he held out his hand, I took it.
"Why are you crying" I ask him. "My mom kicked me out of her house" he sighed. I gasped. I could sense Damien coming for me.
"You need to go" I push him forward. He looks at me blankly. "Go!" I repeat. Still he doesn't move.
It was to late, I could feel them in the woods behind me. He screams. "Mortal!" Danny exclaimed beside me. I nodded.
"Ember, go now" I whispered. "No Evangeline, I can protect you!" he moved forward. "So the boy wants to play hero" Damien snickered. "Leave him alone Damien you know you'll kill him" I urged.
"Evangeline, I cantake them" he assured me. "No you can't, you don't even know me, you don't know what I'm capable of" I growled.
"Yes human filth, you should listen to her" Damien growled. "Shut it bone head" Ember snapped at him. Damien was speechless. I was speechless.
Ember started sprouting fur and a muzzle. "Now what you don't know is how to keep your mouth shut!" Ember snarled. "Ember your" I started. "A werewolf".
"Yeah" he smiled at me. Ember slashed out at Damien, making his head whip back. Damien drug his body into the woods. "Now for you" he was looking at Danny.
