A/N- I love this book so much I have written this little FanFic for it. Not
sure if it will turn into a story. Takes place after last page of the first
book.
DISCLAIMER!- I do not own Jessica Darling and Co. I wish I did, but I don't. So there.
The Second
With no midnight phone call from Marcus, I can't fall asleep. Even with Hope here.
Her face after I confessed about Marcus, it scared me. I seriously thought she was going to turn around and get back on that plane. But she just took a deep breath and said, "Jess, you should have told me sooner."
My mouth, which was already flapping, dropped to the floor. "Huh?"
"You're my best friend, and Krispe Kreme or whatever he's called now will never come between you and me."
I don't know if she was going to say more, but I jumped on her while sobbing my eyes out. She had said the "magic words" that suddenly made everything better.
Four hours later she passed out on my bed. We talked about Marcus, The Clueless Crew and their catfight, my no-show-til-yesterday period, and her new life out of Pineville.
"It's not the same. Everyone is so different," she said to my ceiling. "I miss you the most."
I'm so happy to have her here. She's filled in that hole that had been growing bigger and bigger since all this drama started.
But now it's after midnight and I'm still empty. Even after a full day of Hope (ha. In more ways than one). I'm trying, really trying, not to think about Him. It's not working, but I'm trying.
Oh god. The phone just rang.
