"I love you."

Freddie felt the words come out of his mouth; nothing could stop them, as if an extreme force pushed him to exert the words out of his mouth.

"I love you too"

She didn't expect that. The words were regurgitated with no chance of stopping them. A tear ran down her cheek. "I just can't believe she's gone, maybe, maybe we can still stop her. Maybe, we can convince Carls to come back! We ca-, we can make her change her mind!" Her face brightened up, as if there was a shot at it.

Freddie opened his mouth, as if to say something, but no words were heard. All he could do was gloomily stare into Sam's eyes. Both knew that it wasn't possible. They embraced eachother.

The world suddenly felt gray. Carly looked out the window of her car. It was pouring outside. She wanted to let it all out, but she couldn't. Something was missing. After years of being with her best friends in the entire world, could she not even shed a tear?

No, no. Something isn't right here. Carly felt a sudden rush of chills down her spine. She kept staring out the window, the world looked as if it was fading away. Her spirit and sense of mind were at rock bottom. A harsh light started emitting in front of her -White, no, whiter than white; as white as existentially possible. The chills in her spine started accentuating.

She had passed out.

When she regained her consciousness, everything looked clearer than normal, almost as if she could see every particle in every object in front of her. She started breathing really heavily. A sharp smell flooded her nostrils- alcohol; the medical type that one smells when getting a shot or something of the sort.

She could faintly see people dressed in white running in her foreground, probably nurses, as they seemed to her. She started wiggle her arms around, trying to understand where she was or what had happened. She could make out a bed, and a light blanket over her. She didn't have the strength to lift her head, and her neck felt very stiff.

Within moments she noticed someone approaching her. While still unidentified, she had an ominous sense of déjà vu around what seemed to look like a man. She could make out brown hair, partly covering one side of the face. Skin was pale, but not too pale.

"M-Megan?"

The girl stayed motionless, as if sensing danger.

"M-Megan, are y-ou awake?"

The voice she heard was starting to crack.

She felt a sense of warmth over her; the man had bent over to take a look at her face. She started to speak, but cut herself off. Her voice was unusually high.

She heard the voice say, "It's okay, it's okay" while patting her head.

A sudden realization-

The world stopped-

She felt cold and alone.

It was her brother, Drake Parker.

It had all came back to her. She's been in a coma for over two years. At first, she was in awe to see her brother again. But she quickly felt empty. Just, empty.

Anyone and everyone else

They were all gone, her world that she thought she lived in since day one had been erased…

She stayed motionless for some time.
