Prologue

We hear someone screaming, falling into a world we know as the UNDERGROUND. "Oof!" The figure gets up and looks around. "No signs of life here...Wait, is that a light up ahead?" It squints. "It is!" The figure runs to the light. The light is looming over a patch of grass. "Huh? ...It's just grass." Suddenly, a flower pops up from it.

"HOWDY! I'm FLOWEY! Flowey the Flower. What's your name?" Flowey asks.

"M...my name?" I ask, confused.

"'M...my name?' SHUT UP, MEG! Ahem... Yes, your name. WHAT. IS. IT." Flowey says, annoyed.

"I don't know. I have no name." I say.

"...What? Nope, impossible. Everybody has a name, so you should have a name too!" Flowey yells.

"My parents never gave me a name, so you Shut Up, Meg." I explain.

"Oh. I'll give you a name then. How's that?" Flowey suggests.

"That'd be nice. Thanks." I say.

"Okay, kid. Your name is Paul." Flowey says.

"Paul?! NO! I hate that name!" I yell.

"Okay. What do you want your name to be? But I liked Paul..." Flowey asks.

"Hmm... How about Paul?" I ask.

Flowey just gives me an annoyed look. I chuckle. "Okay. Your name is Paul."

"But I HATE PAUL!" I yell.

"Ugh... Oh, boy. This is gonna take a while."
