Soooo, I made a drawing of the Handmaid standing alone on a cliff. And then this happened. Sorry.

The Handmaid stood alone on the mansion she called home. In just a few minutes, she would begin the almost extinction of her race. Everything was planned out; all she had to do was execute it. And when she did, she would finally get her wish. She wanted to escape. To leave behind this life. To find those she once counted as her friends. Most had already died, but two remained. She was to help hurry one's death.

"HEY. YOu. TIME BITCH," said a gravely, loud voice behind her. Sighing, the Handmaid kept looking at the stars. This was her last chance. And she already knew exactly who was there. Lord English.

"You don't have to yell," she reminded him. "It's only us out here."

"WHATEVER. IT'S TIME. ARE YOu READY?" he replied.

"I guess," she said. "I kind of have to, don't I?"

"THAT'S RIGHT," her boss said. "SO GET OFF YOuR ASS AND GO DIE."

"Well, that's a pleasant goodbye, isn't it?" she told him. "You're a regular ball of sunshine, aren't you?"

"HEY, I STILL OWN YOu, REMEMBER?" he growled. "DON'T BE SO RuDE."

"What are you going to do?" the Handmaid taunted. "Kill me? I welcome it, you know that. And I'm going to die anyway."

"JuST. GET OuT THERE. AND DO YOuR JOB," English muttered. "IT'S TIME. YOu HAVE TO LEAVE. NOW."

"Hey, English," she called, as he walked away. "Are you going to miss me? You'll have a new handmaid, but still. She won't be the same, right?"

"NO. I WANT YOu TO LEAVE," he told her. "YOu ANNOY ME AND I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOuT IT. SO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOuR SHIT. EVERY DAY."

"Still, I've made life interesting, haven't I? You won't miss anything about me?"

"NO. LET'S GO."

"Fine." She finally faced him and pulled out her needles. "But just so you know, I might miss some things about this life. Sometimes I enjoyed it. The little green guys especially. They were funny. They really livened things up. And this town was nice. Yeah, I will miss some stuff. Goodbye, English." She walked past and was almost gone before

"WILL YOu MISS ME?"

The Handmaid turned and looked back one more time.

"A little."

And she left the mansion for the final time.
