She hadn't meant to kiss him.
She really, really hadn't.
He was just looking at her like that. All intense with his chocolate brown eyes and spouting off his notions of love and why she shouldn't let some idiot guy make her feel any less her and that he was gonna beat his stupid punk ass for hurting her.
You wouldn't think it but Logan Echolls should have a job as a key motivational speaker.
She'd smiled in appreciation and assured him that she was fine. Besides Troy was the one that courted her first which was why she'd taken a liking to him.
He'd curved his lips into a soft smile and her damned heart fluttered. He'd said that she'd deserved better. And she'd admitted that he did too.
A beat passed. Blue eyes meet brown. Thick intensity filled the room. And she'd diverted her gaze. No way was she thinking of kissing Logan. No way. No how. No where.
They'd settled on a movie after a vigorous argument of what they shouldn't watch. They'd eaten their weight in junk food and chuckles filled the air as they cheekily commented on the movie.
Somehow during their bickering and stealing each other's food they'd edged closer to each other; she was leaning against his shoulder and his arm was wrapped around her.
And really it shouldn't have felt that natural... but it had.
It felt so natural that she hadn't realized that she'd crossed a line until it was too late.
Her eyes flickered to his lips and she'd gave him a chaste kiss.
His brown eyes darkened, staring into hers so deeply that her body reacted in ways that it never had before from a simple look.
Flushed, embarrassed and undeniably tense, she started to move away. She barely moved an inch when Logan closed the distance between them with a deep kiss.
She was taken by surprise even though she was the one that initiated it. His lips molding against hers, she melted into him.
She didn't know how it was possible that one kiss could be so incredibly intimate and make her crave the feel of him so badly.
She clenched at his hair, needing more of him and he held onto her tightly. When they'd parted, they mirrored each other's longing, confusion and lust. They'd leaned in, craving more of the passionate feeling and that's when they'd heard the door open. Their eyes widened and they sprang apart.
Keith Mars entered and did his bit about how badass he was at catching the bail jumper.
And so they pretended like they hadn't just spent two minutes in heaven.
And now she was dazedly switching books in her locker with zero idea of how to act around him.
She blinked in surprise when he suddenly appeared before her.
"Hey," he softly let out.
"Hey," she airily responded.
With silly smiles on their faces, they'd stared at each other until the bell rang.

I guess this would fall under if Logan hadn't made Veronica choose?
