Percy's POV:
Prom is only 3 days away Percy thought. Even though almost every girl in school had gathered to courage to ask him, he knew exactly who he wanted to take. The problem was, he hadn't seen Annabeth in almost a month. He knew better than to call and he decided if he didn't hear from her by tomorrow he'd risk an attack to hear her voice.
Annabeth's POV:
Annabeth couldn't wait much longer. She had been ready to take off her Yankees cap for almost 2 hours. As she followed Percy around to his classes, she occupied herself by secretly messing with his classmates and muttering the answers to almost every question under her breath. She was so close to getting him alone for a second when some prissy, pretty girl stopped HER Seaweed Brain in his tracks after his 3rd (obnoxiously boring) class.
Percy's POV:
When Gwen stopped me in the hallway after 3rd period, it took a lot of strength to hold back rolling my eyes. She droned on for a couple minutes about how my shirt complimented my eyes and blah blah blah. Then, (Thank the gods) she got to the point. "So, who are you going to Prom with?" She flirted. "Because I heard you didn't have a date yet. Which if you want I could go with you." She giggled. I thought it over for a moment. I couldn't do this is Annabeth. But, she wasn't here. I probably wouldn't see her until after prom anyway..
Annabeth's POV:
I watched with a smirk on my face, waiting for my boyfriend to turn this airhead down like I could tell he had done to every other one this week. I shifted my view to watch his beautiful green eyes as he broke this girl's heart. Then, I saw something that horrified me. He was going to say yes. That bastard better not. I didn't care if someone saw me anymore. I ran to the nearest doorway and ripped off my hat. I kept it in my hand so he understood where I had come from. "Excuse me" I said sweetly, tapping Percy's shoulder, trying my best to hide my anger, "Do you know where I can find my boyfriend? He hasn't even asked me to prom yet." I pouted as he turned around. He turned and I tried my best to hide my smile as I watched his eyes light up. I was letting my 'princess curls' (as Percy called them) fall over my shoulder and I silently cursed when I remembered I was wearing my camp t-shirt.
Percy's POV:
When I heard the pathetic whine of yet another desperate girl, I rolled my eyes at Gwen and turned. I instantly regretted everything that had just run through my brain. "Wise GIrl?" I breathed? I could tell she was turning on her death stare but I didn't care. I know exactly how to make her feel better. I grabbed her waist and lifted her up, spinning her in circles. I bent down to kiss her and noticed her Yankees cap. I instantly realized what I'd done. I turned red and simply asked,"How long?" "All day" She replied simply. I sweared under my breath and finally got my beautiful Wise Girl to smile for me. She reached up and kissed me. She let go way too soon and I turned back to Gwen, suddenly realizing my awaited reply. "I..uh..think I already have a date to prom. Sorry, Gwen." She turned pink and Annabeth smirked as she leaned up against my chest. I looked down and saw my girlfriend's signature 'He's mine' look. Gwen stalked off down the hall. I laughed and caught Annabeth's attention. "That is if my girlfriend agrees to come with me." "Of course, Seaweed Brain" she giggled. She kissed me again as the bell rang. I was late for class but at that moment, I couldn't care less. Annabeth was way more important. "C'mon" she said, pulling away. "We have to get to class." And with that, she placed her hat on her head and disappeared from view. I laughed feeling her hand on my arm, and walked to class.
