It was a little depressing to be left behind; after all she was just as capable as the guys were. It was low of them to take off while she'd been looking after her Grandfather, and it wasn't her fault Yugi decided to take off. There hadn't been much she could have done, and she trusted him to do the right thing. She believed he would return.

This whole thing was just a mess. She'd been ecstatic to hear that Yugi and the others would be visiting, but the circumstances were less then desirable. Already the bikers had done so much damage. She hoped they would get what they deserved.

She was sitting beside Anzu, waiting desperately for the sound of hooves or the car. So far there had been nothing and Anzu was getting antsy. She liked to think she was holding up nicely, but in reality she was just as nervous as Anzu. So much could've gone wrong. But she didn't think about that.

It certainly wasn't quiet around her, between the birds, wind and caravan motor there was too much noise for it to be quiet, but in her mind it was. She and Anzu had stopped talking after she had teased her about her crush on the Nameless Pharaoh. Anzu clearly didn't want to talk anymore and she was getting more nervous by the minute herself.

From the horizon she heard the two sounds she'd been waiting to hear. Her head snapped up as she watched a car and horse rush towards them. With a happy cry she jumped up. Soon they were close enough to see but the sun was too bright to tell who was there. Silently she cursed it before asking kindly if it would darken for a moment.

The instant Yugi dismounted Rebecca ran up to hug him as Anzu greeted them with relief in her voice. Before she was able to greet him herself she caught the look on his face. Something was wrong, that much was clear.

"I knew you would win," Anzu continued over her head. Rebecca wasn't paying that much attention, she was too busy trying o figure out what was wrong.

"It's not what you think Anzu," Jonouchi replied strangely, something in his own voice indicating that something was indeed very wrong.

"Yugi didn't win," Honda added curtly. "He's gone."

Rebecca gasped in disbelief. It couldn't be true, because if it was he'd be gone and he was right in front of her. But even as she said as much deep down she knew there was something off about the person in front of her. It wasn't Yugi.

When the Nameless Pharaoh confirmed the horrible truth she broke down. She had been so convinced he'd come back, and that selfish Spirit prevented it. It was all his fault! Despite it shining brightly and cheerfully above her as she began to cry the world grew darker, as if the sun had been shallowed up.

She would never forgive him!
