The Yearly 365 Challenge
Prompt #248 (Job) Drug Dealer
"Something is seriously wrong here." Hal looked between FP Jones and Fred Andrews.
FP smirked. He pocketed little package that Fred had just slipped him. "What Cooper you never consider that a good clean cut guy can be the drug dealer. While the shaggy guy can be the buyer." He leaned against the brick wall.
"Fred." Hal whispered.
Fred looked down. "I need the money."
"You can always find a part time job." Hal's voice rose.
Fred's eyes lifted flashing in anger. "What work for two weeks before getting a paycheck. Also the paycheck would be chicken feed because I can't work full time yet." His arms folded across his chest. "Look Hal I need the money now, As soon as I have the money that I need then I'm done."
FP sadly shook his head. "Hate to tell you man. But you aren't going to be able to walk away from this. They won't let you." His eyes twinkled joyfully.
Fred turned his shocked eyes to meet FP's. He swallowed hard.
FP pushed off the wall. "If you wanted to be able to deal little and walk away … you should've known better than to seek me out for help." His hands tucked into his leather jacket. "You know my rep. I only deal in the hard stuff. I don't deal with kiddie things. I play for keeps." He smirked as he turned and walked away. "Later Andrews. Cooper."
Fred turned his wide freaked out eyes to his best friend. "What am I going to do Hal?" He whispered fear lacing his voice.
Hal sighed as he swung his arm across the ginger teens shoulder. "We have to tell my dad. Once he learns why you were this desperate to sale drugs … then I'm sure he can find a way out for you."
"I screwed up big time this time." Tears sparkled Fred's eyes as he allowed his best friend to lead him out of the alley.
