The Doctor stepped out of his beloved TARDIS and onto the vast, dusty plain that spread as far as his eyes could see. Gripping tight onto his cane for support, the elderly timelord hobbled forward towards his destination. Obviously, The Doctor thought to himself, I must be correct in my assumption. He'll know where I am needed. He always seems to know.
The Doctor picked up his pace, almost at a slow trot now. Usually, he liked to take in the sights around him, but in this case, there were no sights to see. Nothing but the empty plain.
Finally, after around twenty minutes of searching, The Doctor found what he was looking for; a large, metallic dome sitting right in the middle of nowhere. The Doctor felt his hearts beat faster in his chest, for he had found what he came for.
Reaching out with his cane in his hand, the ancient Gallifreyan tapped against the dome three times, just as he had done several years before. Just as expected, the dome parted vertically just enough for one person to squeeze through.
The Doctor stepped through the gap and into… another TARDIS. This one had a vastly different interior, as it was decorated to look as if it were a culmination of the best each world had to offer. Dalek arms and Cyber-man heads hung from the walls, while shelves upon shelves housed minerals and fine gems from across the entire universe. In the middle, the control panel stood tall, along with its owner.
"Why, hello, old friend," The Doctor shouted gleefully. The man by the control panel stepped down from where he was standing and rushed over to The Doctor.
"Doctor, how good it is to see you!" The man exclaimed. " You look very well for your age, old man," The man joked. The Doctor frowned.
"Joking aside, I need your help, Re'yor," The Doctor said, addressing the man. "The universe is in danger, and I need your wisdom, old friend."
The man, Re'yor looked at the doctor with a glint of mischief in his eye. "You want me to help you make a decision?" He asked. The doctor nodded his head.
"Indeed, Re'yor. However, this time, it is not merely one life in danger, but the entire universe," The Doctor explainied. Re'yor looked shocked.
"The entire universe? What could possibly be so bad that it could wipe out the entire universe?" The younger man asked. The Doctor scowled.
"Rogue timelords."
