Arthur went to a lot of music teachers since he was 3 years old. He wasn't even able to talk properly back then. Uther saw a talent in a boy and by 7 years old young Pendragon knew he will be a musician. And a great one! At least his father said so, so no choice. Musician it is.
Even though Arthur was already 20 he was still scared to disappoint his father, that's how he ended up in Camelot. But Uther didn't like Arthur's music no matter what. It was better than anyone else's, but not good enough. Fuck logic!
Arthur already knew that first day in university is always a big show for the freshmen, where everyone showed the best of their abilities. Sure it was his first year but Arthur already met few people over the summer courses. He knew Gwen, Morgana and Lance (singers) and the band called Lost in Stereo (Leon, Percy, Gwaine and Elyan)
Arthur also heard that there'll be this boy who got a scholarship (Mervin/Merlin/Nerlim... whatever). So he must be really talented... Though for now, the only thing ihat matters is that Arthur must be the best on the show or his dad will be disappointed agan. Though seems like it's his natural state...
