I'm so tired of being here
She was very tired of being all alone; ever since he went on that mission, all she had felt was emptiness. She had cried and cried until she was numb on the inside. Now all she could feel was a bone deep weariness that never seemed to fade no matter how long she slept.
Suppressed by all my childish fears
Now she was scared. She had lost so many people in her life; her greatest fear was losing any more. Everyone tried to avoid her now because she had lost control of her powers when she found out what had happened.
And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave because your presence still lingers here, and it won't leave me alone
She could still see and feel him; he was all around her. When she was in bed she could smell his scent on the sheets. When she was asleep, she could feel his warmth next to her. His belongings were still scattered around the room, she hadn't the heart to go through them. Every time she tried she broke down in tears.
These wounds don't seem to heal this pain is just too real
It had been 3 months and she hadn't gotten over it; the pain still echoed loudly inside of her. It just never seemed to fade but instead got worse over time.
There's just too much that time cannot erase
She had given time a chance to heal her but she was through waiting. Waiting had done nothing for her but cause her more pain. He was gone and the X-men had abandoned her.
You cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
She walked into the bathroom with tears streaming down her face like a river. She remembered one night when she had awoken from a nightmare, he had held her and reassured her while wiping away her tears. She missed the way he held her and gave her kisses for no reason.
You'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
She picked up the razor with shaking hands and she slit her wrists.
"Ah'll see you soon Remy," Rogue whispered.
