Chapter 1 - Dean's POV

Sam certainly knows how to welcome a guy back from the darkside.

He bought me the biggest cheeseburger I'd ever seen, so in return I let him fuss over me.

It's what he needed … and it's what I needed.

My hellspawn memories are hazy, but I remember indulging like I'd never indulged before. All the things I loved, but I never enjoyed them like this.

All I remember was the bitter taste of ash, and bile and hate, all stirred up with the sour flavour of Crowley's scheming.

And, believe me, that sort of seasoning makes everything taste like crap.
